What would happen if...
... my opponent activates Book of Moon while i activate Judgment Dragon's effect? Would JD be destroyed? UltraSynchron 08:20, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- No! ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 08:29, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
i dont think anything would be destroyed on the field.--Airbellum 08:47, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
but will JD destroy cards on the field?UltraSynchron 08:54, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- Judgment Dragon's ignition effect does not requires him to be face-up on the field when his effect resolves. So the effect will resolve normally. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 11:34, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
book of moon has a speed spell of 2. Judgment Dragon has a speed spell of 1 since speed spell 1 cards don't effect speed spell 2 you cannot destroy book of moon on the turn it was activated. Nintendolord7
- Yes that's true, but the turn player can call Priority to use JD's effect, and then the opponent can respond with book of moon. --Trivi-AM 14:12, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
well i don't really know that much about priority so i might need an explanation on it.
- Well, the Turn Player activates Judgment Dragon's effect. He pays the 1000 LP cost.
- Now the priority is passed to the opponent to chain a spell speed 2 or higher effect. And he chains Book of Moon.
- Now the priority returns to the turn player to chain an effect, but he refuses.
- Now the priority is back to the opponent to chain an effect but he refuses also.
- Since both players refuse to chain any other effects, the chain ends here.
- Now the chain resolves backwards: BOM resolves first and flips JD face-down, and then JD's effect resolves and destroys the field except himself. (BOM is also sent to the Graveyard by JD's effect).

so because of that JD is flipped face down but every other card is destroyed but him. Ah now i see.
jeez.. Thanks a lot!!UltraSynchron 05:04, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
- Question ATEMVEGETA, wouldn't the face down JD be destroyed as well since his effect wouldn't see that he is JD anymore? Kartheon 09:16, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
--If you want to know the answer, look at the ruling page of Judgment Dragon. There you can see the answer.

- Face-down monsters retain their identity. For instance, if I Brain Control an opponent's monster and then flip it face-down, it is still the monster I took control of, and will return during the End Phase, regardless of it being face-down. Likewise, JD's effect, remembers JD and does not destroy him, no matter what happens to him. --Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs) 18:37, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
