Jester Confit

Obviously, I have enough of a brain to know he can be special summoned... the second part, about going back to the hand... if I special summon him, does he go from the graveyard to my hand in my opponent's next end phase? (and consequently 1 monster from my opponent's side goes back to his/her hand) MACaROni 02:45, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

No, it doesn't. "Jester Confit" can only return from the field to your hand. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 03:57, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

about jester, if i special summon him by his own effect, and during my opponents turn i remove him with "interdimensional matter transporter", when he arrives back to the field during that end phase does jester remember his effect to return itself and one face-up monster my opponent controls to the hand or is the effect null and void once he is removed?

This should help. From the rulings of Spirit Monsters with Interdimensional Matter Transporter:

"If a Spirit Monster is returned to the field with "Interdimensional Matter Transporter" the same turn it was Summoned or flipped face-up, it returns to the field and then returns to the owner's hand."

Then we can assume that Jester Confit will return to your hand during the End Phase of your opponent's next turn.--Hide Head Turtle 02:17, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

The answer is still under review. It's clear that monsters remember *when* they were Summoned (which is why Spirits work), but it's not clear if monsters remember how they were Summoned. It's possible that "Jester Confit" forgets that it was Summoned by its Summoning Condition, and thus its effect won't activate.
For now, I'll say that "Jester Confit" doesn't remember, since my coin landed on tails. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 06:01, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

Ok, I've did a little bit of research in to the matter and it is perplexing. One such discussions in the past can be found here -->Forum:Djinn releaser of rituals.

However, I've found that some of them are BKSS Rulings. User:ATEMVEGETA/TCG BKSS Rulings/Judge List Forum is for Sky Scourge Invicil. User:ATEMVEGETA/TCG BKSS Rulings/Cyberdark Impact is for Dark Lucius LV6. As for the rulings for Allure Queen LV5, although I can't find a specific BKSS Rulings for that, it can be assumed that it is also one of them.

As there is no specific ruling for Jester Confit with Interdimensional Matter Transporter, I suggest that we use "A monsters shouldn't be able to remember how it was summoned even if it is temporarily removed from play." so I'll go with Deus Ex Machina and say that the effect of Jester Confit that returns itself to the hand won't activate during the End Phase.--Hide Head Turtle 07:18, June 4, 2010 (UTC)
