Forum:Is there a possible OTK in here

The reason I ask is because last night I was able to swarm the field with 5 dinos that did a total of 7400 pts of damage to my opponent in one turn. Here is the deck list:

The play went like this, I was going first, my opening 5 cards were Destroyersaurus x2 Gilasaurus x2 and Hydrogeddon My opening draw was Seismic Shockwave I special summoned the two Gilasaurus sent one Destroyersaurus to the graveyard to search out Jurassic World and normal summoned my other Destroyersaurus set Seismic Shockwave and ended my turn.

She set a monster, and a trap and ended her turn.

I summoned Hydrogeddon and attacked face down,at 1900 attack thanks to Jurassic World I was able to destroy her monster utilizing Hydro's effect I summoned another Hydro from my deck. Was able to attack directly for 1900, 1700, 1700, 2100 respectively for Hydrogeddon, Gilasaurus, Gilasaurus, Destroyersaurus.

The reason I ask is because I ran the combinations from my deck through my head, and was unable to find one, thought if someone had enough time they could see one. I am not sure if there is because I have to have those cards to do that damage. I was just curious.

OTKs, are, by definition, the depletion of one's opponent's LP, or the fulfilment of a victory condition, in 1 turn (meaning traps are usually not used), using 4 cards or less only.

Automatically, your move is not an OTK for these things:

1. LP not depleted.
2. More than 4 cards used.
3. Took more than one turn.

Even if you had dealt 8000 damage, you would have needed another card, or at best, a substitute card. Which means you'd still need 6 or more cards, and more than one turn. Hence this move is not an OTK.

So, technically, you can't dish out an OTK. To make an OTK deck, you need:

A good combo, consisting of...
- 4 core cards
- a deck made around this combo
- cards (searchers, stallers) to make the deck consistent (i.e. able to produce a game-winning situation frequently)

Then playtesting, and you're done. See the OTK page for some famous OTK decks. The last OTK deck to have been constructed is the Quillbolt Loop, consisting of:

Any tuner monster on the field, or a Plaguespreader Zombie in the graveyard with at least 1 card in hand.
Quillbolt Hedgehog
Imperial Iron Wall
Any card that requires a monster tribute to do damage (Mass Driver, Cannon Soldier, Catapult Turtle).

The way I see it, you're better off constructing your deck as a pure-bred Dino Aggro deck, that'd be the best bet IMHO. I'll try to give you some deck advice later, I've not had much experience with Dinos. --Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs) 21:45, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

he didnt say his move was a otk, he wondered if he could pull one off, and a otk can use more than for cards, the condition do 8000+ damage or win by card effect in one turn.example for the quillbolt loop to make it work better card of safe return for when using plaguespreader so you lose no cards in hand, which leaves that combo at 5 cards.
