Forum:Jack Atlas style - needs help though!

Hey, was just checking around through the most recently/soon-to-be released cards when I saw one that really caught my eye... "Red Nova Dragon"! Looks awesome, I think, so I follow the link from the card gallery to the page dedicated to the card itself. A quick scan through his effect tells me "Oh no, not another "amazing-played-in-the-anime-but-is-actually-unsummonable-in-real-life" card, but then I look closer and think a little harder... "Red Dragon Archfiend" isn't all that hard to bring out, and heck, neither are the two Tuner monsters so maybe with a little magic you COULD make...

Ta-da! A semi Jack Atlas styled deck that focuses on the summon of "Red Dragon Archfiend" and, from him, "Red Nova Dragon", using a multitude of level three and one Tuners to fufil the four level gap between the two. Just like Jack, the deck has capabilities also for the summon of level seven Synchro monsters - and I have included two of Jack's favorites here - "Chaos King Archfiend" and "Exploder Dragonwing". Overall, the deck has 19 monsters, 8 spells and 11 traps adding up to 38 - often my decks are far too big but for once this one is too SHORT! Any help/suggestions PLEASE post a comment but DO NOT go and change the decklist itself, leave that to ME PLEASE and I will know if you have changed it as I keep a spare saved elsewhere on my hardrive.

Also when leaving suggestions, make note that I'd LIKE the deck to play similar to the King himself, Jack Atlas' style - basically power and control over the opponet and the field. He does run quite a few burn cards in the anime ("Crimson Fire"! Yeah!), but I have saved these for the side deck in case of anti-heal or other such burn decks (also "Hanewata" and "Trap Eater" as they do fit the theme of the deck, but are only really useful against the right opponet).

Anyway, while you are all leaving your wonderful ideas, I will be making proxies of these cards. Thanks for your time! In the meantime, keep your feet on the ground, your head in the clouds and stay AWAAAAY from Meta, 'cause coming up with a brand new deck idea is so much cooler then being a sheep. Its also more fun, even when the deck sucks. Come on guys, together, we CAN beat Meta with our little Billy Decks... Over and Out --EndOfTheWorld (Its the EndOfTheWorld! well this might not part of jacks deck but...u can go for a quick 8 star synchro if u use summoner monk and flamvell magician..i use it ta summon my stardust quickly in my deck

Ok, thanks, but not sure that would work here as I haven't got all that many spells - and what ones I do have are precious enough as it is but thanks anyway. And I DO like the idea of flamvells, think they'd be right up Jack's alley, but maybe not for this deck as it dosn't have quite enough level four monsters to play off (Only "Breaker the Magical Warrior" really) although I may decide to make a flamvell version of this deck instead, I don't know. If you need more Jack Atlas Monsters, and you're playing a Dragon-Atlas deck... maybe Strong Wind Dragon if you haven't considered it yet?(don't mock the name!). Also, if you want some of the King's famous Piercing awesomeness to make the deck more Atlas-ey, I'd go w/ Twin Sword Marauder - Mad Archfiend's backlash sucks. Finally, another Atlas fan!B. Thanks, but I'm not totally sure of the piercing guys as they're a little weak on their own, and my deck is totally devoted to summoning "Red Nova Dragon" really, and not playing with Jack's anti-defense cards, although I might side deck a few in case I come up against something like stall/burn, I dunno. Anyway, I've decided to take the deck to 40 cards with three "Books of Moon", then minus the "Brain Control" I did have in there, it only really helps me when my opponet has a Tuner or "Red Dragon Archfiend" himslef, both of which aren't all that likely.

I did consider basing it around Jack's dragon cards, but I'm not sure if it supports the "Red Nova Dragon" theme. I have started making proxies of these cards, so hopefully I'll be able to play it against my Machina deck or something, see how that goes. Over and Out --EndOfTheWorld (Its the EndOfTheWorld!
