I went to a regionals today and finished 85th out of 380 people using X-Sabers. I will post my decklist later. Interesting note: national champion Hansel Aguero was there.
Round 1 - vs. T.G.
- Game 1: I stay mostly in control during the duel, trying my hardest to press through all his floaters. It goes back and forth a bit until I summon Naturia Barkion and he doesn't have an answer.
- Game 2: I summon Barkion early and ride it to victory.
- Result: 2-0 Victory. Running record: 1-0
Round 2 - vs. Elemental Hero
- Game 1: I take an early lead and press my advantage for a fairly easy win.
- Game 2: My opponent brings out more fusions than I can deal with. I lose.
- Game 3: Stalemate for quite a while with my opponent sitting on a set Super Poly and me sitting on a set Emmersblade. Eventually I clear the field and am able to Hyunlei the Super Poly. From there the win is easy.
- Result: 2-1 Victory. Running Record: 2-0
Round 3: vs. Agents
- Game 1: My opponent takes an early lead but I'm able to turn the duel around and win.
- Game 2: I open with Dustshoot, revealing a completely dead hand and send back the only live card. I press my luck for a quick victory.
- Result: 2-0 Victory. Running record: 3-0
Round 4: vs. Sabers - Mirror Match!
- Game 1: I open with the ability to make a first turn Stardust, but my opponent has Maxx C. I am forced to stop and he presses his advantage to claim victory.
- Game 2: I get nowhere because my opponent has both Solemn Warnings. He goes off while I can do nothing. I lose.
- Result: 0-2 Loss. Running record: 3-1
Round 5: vs. Plants
- Game 1: I face a similar situation as the last round. I can go off but my opponent stops me cold with Maxx C. My saving Fulhelm comes one turn too late and I lose.
- Game 2: It goes back and forth for a bit, but I lose in the end.
- Result: 0-2 Loss. Running record: 3-2
Round 6: vs. Monster Mash
- Game 1: My opponent is playing Gallis OTK without the OTK piece (KM Doom). He gains advantage through Witch of the Black Rose and a crushing BRD play. I lose.
- Game 2: I get my only Light-Imprisoning Mirror and ride it to victory.
- Game 3: I open with 2 Thunder Kings and use the pressure to take a slow but steady win.
- Result: 2-1 Victory. Running record: 4-2
Round 7: vs. Hopeless Dragunity
- Game 1: My opponent is late and receives a game loss.
- Game 2: My opponent summons a lot of big monsters and I have no outs. I lose.
- Game 3: I take control quickly and drop my opponent to 400 Life Points. I have taken no damage. My opponent makes an incredible reversal OTK with not one, not two, but THREE Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragons.
- Result: 1-2 Loss. Running Record: 4-3
Round 8: vs. Lightsworn
- Game 1: I am forced to Solemn Judgment a Heavy Storm and my opponent wins by dropping Judgment Dragon. I have no answers and lose.
- Game 2: I ride my one Light Mirror to a slow victory. Time is called just as I attack for game, and the match is declared a draw.
- Result: 1-1 Draw. Running record: 4-3-1
Round 9: Gravekeeper's
- Game 1: I stay in control most of the duel and ride Barkion to victory.
- Game 2: I sit on an early Barkion for a good portion of the duel, and eventually make a game-ending Hyunlei play with a Stardust to stop the Starlight Road.
- Result: 2-0 Victory. Final record: 5-3-1.
I was pleased with my and the deck's performance. I'm happy with how I did. My one Light-Imprisoning Mirror did so much work for me. It was great. Lappyzard (talk • contribs) 03:30, October 9, 2011 (UTC)
- Sounds good. Too bad you got a tie when time was called. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 14:54, October 9, 2011 (UTC)

Oh, and side was: 2 Cyber Dragon, 3 Thunder King Rai-Oh, 2 Nobleman of Crossout, 2 Compulsory Evacuation Device (placeholders, but I did use them a couple times), 2 Dust Tornado, 3 Gozen Match, 1 Light-Imprisoning Mirror (I only own one, but as I said it did so much work for me). - Question: Why did you side Dust Tornado? Isn't three MST and a Heavy enough? Also, if you're side-decking Cyber Dragon, why didn't you main deck Chimeratech (or at least side it)? BF2 Talk Deck Guides 21:01, October 10, 2011 (UTC)
- It's the 1st card in his Extra Deck.

I sided Dusts because it's necessary against GKs. Necrovalley kills the deck, and the extra destruction helps against a Trap-heavy deck. I also sided it for anything with Skill Drain, because it also kills the deck. Lappyzard (talk • contribs) 23:11, October 10, 2011 (UTC)
