How come you can't use Lonefire Blossom's effect if it was Spcial Summoned by Debris Dragon? What makes this different from Skill Drain? Would a Dandylion that was Special Summoned by Debris Dragon be negated too if it was sent to the Graveyard?

Any kind of clarification appreciated

Debris cares about eff on the field, Skill Drain cares about face-up monster on the field. See the differences?-- (talkcontribs) 22:13, March 16, 2014 (UTC)
Just to elaborate a bit more on Magic's point. Debris will negate the effect if that effect activates on the field, this is why Debris + Dandylion will work, even if Debris negated Dandy's effect. As for the Skill Drain part, Drain only negates the effect as long as the card stays on the field, so while Drain can stop Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning, it can't stop Thunder King Rai-Oh (or Lonefire) from tributing itself to negate an inherent Special Summon. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 23:34, March 16, 2014 (UTC)

So even if the effect that activates on the field has a cost that involves the monster leaving the field, then Debris will negate it, correct? And since Dandylion activates in the Graveyard and not the field, then it will still summon the tokens, correct? Millefiore24368 (talkcontribs) 02:40, March 19, 2014 (UTC)

Correct. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 02:44, March 19, 2014 (UTC)
