Anyone else hoping for a fix on this card so it cant use itself for its effect or at least making it limited, making it be exactly 8.couple solutions...really just overpowered and annoying for right now — This unsigned comment was made by 68.105.244.139 (talkcontribs)

It's because Konami said so, it work fine that way. --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 04:04, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

still its kind of a bullSh*T card since you can use any other monster to summon it and you can also have 3...its like an even cheaper synchro monster...F*cking synchro nubs...68.105.244.139 (talk) 04:19, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

How dare you sir. I use those. And a limited Machina Fortress is kind of like a limited Lightning Vortex. Just leave it alone, it's easy just to get rid of them. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 04:24, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

System Down anyone? -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 04:25, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

ya but lightning vortex doesnt have 2500 atk points and can be summoned from the graveyard

Yeah but it destroys like Fortress. Think about it, it also discard. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 04:28, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

Fortress is a pain, thats what it is. The first times i dueld against machinas i also thought it was impossible to get rid of, then D.D. crow bottomless trap hole dimensional prison and system down apear in my way, and that was it. in the other hand if dark hole would still be forbidden, limiting LV wouldnt be so bad, but again, we now can use dark hole. Y'know, if you were playing against Machina variations, just side in some Different Dimension Grounds, D.D. Crow, Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer, Dimensional Prison, or Bottomless Trap Hole. Those are basicly staples in many Decks, and Machina Decks have NO means of retrieval. --Drew-Gi-Oh! (talk) 06:14, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

unless their smart and have stuff to bring them back like most would cuz they arent stupid lol

The thing is some machina decks side a burial, and some, transmigration prophecy. the threats in the machina deck will never disapear, not even if u are playing macro. the best advice is side some of the cards i said above (and drew mentioned again). also, beware that if u somehow manage to get rid of the fortress, most machinas deck use 3 Solidarity's wich convined with gadgets.... damn. Yes, im Pato (talkcontribs) 16:40, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, but they'd need a godhand of a gadget, 3 solidarities, a fortress, and a force to pull off a combo like that. --Drew-Gi-Oh! (talk) 20:16, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

That's pretty difficult to pull off, I doubt it would happen unless you have the draw power. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 21:34, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

well me personally.....i love those machina fortress.....sure they can be a pain in the butt....but since when did the machines really had a great boss monster to hit the field and be consistent with the meta..? not too many like cyber dragon back in the day and a jinzo....sure angient gear gadjiltron dragon was ok maybe even the golem and the cyber fusions were awsome....but since then not too many people played with machines since the cyber dragon died a while back and now machine deck lovers finally get a card that can get them back into the game and you guys wanna fret over it? i say let the machinas have a little fun for a while before giving them a slap on the hand and limiting them way too fast they just came out from a starter box for crying out loud. and the meta needs a new deck out there to play with instead of the usual same decks like blackwing or lightsworn and infernitys or what not.alot people stick to the tier list offering them to the same decks over and over again...BUT i do agree that the fortress is a pain but they can get rid of by removing from play...that on its own should be efficient enough...if you take out the fortress alot of the deck starts to run into overtime trying to play catch-up with the gadgets--Litherain (talkcontribs) 13:40, September 27, 2010 (UTC)

I admit I've never made or dueled against a machina deck before...so can anyone tell me why they are regarded as strong or even annoying? And sure machina fortress looks like it would be hard to get rid of, but just rfp or keep a higher atk monster on the field and negate things like limiter removal and it should be ok right?IPlay4Fun (talkcontribs) 06:37, September 29, 2010 (UTC)

It's usually on Machina Fortress and his union monsters that protect him that's annoying. And maybe if it isn't for his unions. Trust me, it's not as easy as you think. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 13:14, September 29, 2010 (UTC)

yeah the main problems of a typical machina deck that makes it annoying is 3 things the first is the fact that machina gearframe itself is more like a free pass to a machina fortress and its always basically a guaranteed fortress in the same turn or next turn and is protection too and this card alone makes the deck go off pretty fast into storming the field with fortress in a heart beat. the second problem is the fact that machina fortress effect allows itself to be use as part of the discard fodder for its special summon so virtually all you need to do is send a free machine of any Lv along with fortress and just bring it back to the field or simply send a Lv 8 machine to the grave instead(usually a machina force or gadjiltron dragon)...and third problem i believe(i may be wrong) is fortress other effects which can be a problem to get over with sice fortress can either ram itself into a more stonger monster and still destroy a card on the field by its effect or allow itself to be destroyed by battle on purpose to still get the same result and the fact that if an opponents monster effect targets fortress you automatically get to freely see your opponents hand and see exactly what they have and discard a card to the grave from thier hand so its like they have to be cautious to really use target effects from monsters otherwise they lose a card for trying that method..... i think that sums up the big problem with machina fortress other than that its flat out broken in its own way when partnered with gearframe as its best friend in a duel.--Litherain (talkcontribs) 19:13, September 29, 2010 (UTC)

There's a good reason why machines are best with unions....... does Transformers and Gundam and etc. ring a bell? Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 23:05, September 29, 2010 (UTC)
