Greetings guys! I hope you all are well on this fine Christmas Eve morning!

Like most of my decks, I've been working on my Dinosaur deck for a long time. Developing it as the years went by and improving on it when I could, and for the most part I've been satisfied with it.

Recently however, I've been updating some of my other decks and it got me to thinking what I could do to improve on my dino deck. I've looked into some of the new dinos to come out as of late, such as the Jurracs and the Evolzars. But I'm not sure what combination of Jurrac cards would work with my deck, since the Jurracs are Fire-attribute monsters and tend to have effects that work in tandem with other Jurracs.

After about an hour of "work" I found that I had only made a handful of changes to my deck, and I was wondering what you guys could offer any suggestions to improve on it further.

Deck Total: 41 Monsters: 17+2 - Spells: 14 - Traps: 10

Giant Trunade and Graceful Charity are forbidden at the moment.
Use Template:Decklist and I'd suggest you try out an EvolJurrac or just straight up Jurrac build as other dinosaurs aren't really good enough. Here's an example of the one I use on DuelingNetwork:

If this is a IRL deck like I'm assuming, you'll probably be more interested in a straight Jurrac build as Evols are rather bad at the moment in TCG.
So here's a thrown together Jurrac deck, if you can't get any of the cards then just replace it with something similar or something that could also help the aim of the deck.

My friends and I don't really follow formats, so we tend to use the best cards that we own. Also, I'm fairly sure using Japanese cards is illegal, too.

At any rate, I'll try and track down more Jurracs, since the only other ones I own are a pair of Jurrac Protops. I've never even seen any of the evol cards in person.--Berserkfhurer (talkcontribs) 09:16, December 24, 2011 (UTC)

The Japanese cards are OCG meaning they're japan only at the moment but should be brought out in TCG soon.
I'd suggest sticking to cards that help swarm jurracs/level 4 dinosaurs (that's why Hydrogeddon was there) and I would definitly suggest Evolzar Laggia, Burden of the Mighty/Forbidden Lance, Jurrac Guaiba, Jurrac Velo, and Jurrac Aeolo at the very least.
The deck may be a little too much depending how much you have to spend, for example, on the first page of Decks for Free there's a $300- Jurrac deck that uses similar cards to my example.
If you really need to, you could wait until Decks for Free open again and ask for a TCG Jurrac deck within your budget. 121.222.98.191 (talk) 05:50, December 25, 2011 (UTC)

I don't have an account or anything but judging from your deck, I strongly urge adding some common staples. There are some cards that pretty much every deck should have barring FTKs and the like. These include Sangan, Mirror Force, Bottomless Trap Hole, Monster Reborn, Call, and Book of Moon. Book of Moon is especially useful because it can be used in so many different ways (stopping attacks, reusing flip effects, ect...)

Moving onto your actual deck, there are very few monsters. In general, you want at least half of your deck to be monster cards. I don't know if you just don't have enough Dinosaur cards to make a full deck, but if you do, add some more monsters.

I also suggest finding a unifying theme. Your deck is pretty random and has no real way of bringing out high-level Dinosaurs (which is pretty much the only strategy the type has) outside of Cyber Jar and monster recursion. Try to get more high-level dinosaurs (4-5 high levels should do it) and add Soul Exchange, Brain Control (its banned, but you don't care about format,) and Change of Heart (same as Brain Control.) These cards will allow you to get quick tributes by using your opponents monsters and generate some form of advantage.

In short, try to find some staples, cut back on some of the traps, and run spells that will help you get tributes.

Look guys, I appreciate the input, but I want you guys to know something, I'm not out to make some professional deck, so I'm not going to spend any ludicrous amount of money on cards. I'll use what I have access to, I'll try to trade for what I don't have.

That being said, I am pretty interested in the evolzar cards (especially the XYZ cards), so I may try to get those. I'm also interested in some of the other Jurrac Cards but I don't want the deck to focus on that archetype.

As for the gentleman above me:

First of all, my deck isn't random, if you look at the cards you can see what it is. It's a beat-down deck that has cards focusing on utilizing Tyranno Infinity. I don't need bottomless traphole, because I have macro cosmos, skull layer and Dimensional Rift. That's why I don't have a lot of cards that revive from the grave, because if everything is working right, I won't need to revive from there.

I run 2 Driceratops, Super Conductor Tyranno, Ultimate Tyranno and Cyber Dinosaur, that's 5 +5 monsters, all of which are easily summoned via Big Evolution Pill. I don't use Sangan because I have means of searching for dinosaurs, sangan would only let me search for Cyber Jar, so really Sangan only takes up space. As for some of the other staples mentioned, there are a few I only got 1 copy of or don't have at all. --Berserkfhurer (talkcontribs) 03:57, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

I don't see any Macro Cosmos in your deck list - you might want to fix that. Also, I suggest focusing on either Tribute Beatdown or Infinity; splitting yourself down both will lead to some pretty awful hands.

Whether or not you have Cosmos doesn't mean you shouldn't run BTH. It's a good card regardless and stops alot of cards. Its far better than Magic Cylinder at any rate.

I just want to make two more suggestions - the first is to get more copies of all your key cards. You say you don't want to spend ludicrous amounts of money, butthe cards we are suggesting are commons that are worth less than a quarter; same applies for alot of other cards that would really help your deck out.

At any rate, if you decide not to go down the Tribute path, get access to 3 copies Dimensional Fissure and 3 copies of Necroface. Necroface will make RFGing your Dinosaurs alot faster and help you build more attack for Tyranno Infinity. Also, consider finding 3 copies of D.D.R. which can help you revive an Infinity or another monster.

One last point I'd like to make; your deck is too slow for Infinity. It lacks enough monsters or milling power to build enough attack; at most, you'll average at best 4000/5000 with your current deck-build. If you actually want people to help you and make your deck better, I suggest finding some new cards (it should not be very difficult as the cards we are suggesting = ridiculously cheap) instead of insisting on using just the cards you have put down. After all, whats the point in asking for help if you're not willing to change anything?

It isn't that I'm not willing to make changes, it's just the changes being suggested aren't something I can do at the moment. And is it wrong for explaining some of the details of why my deck is the way it is, or counter-questioning some of the things that you and others are suggesting?

My side deck didn't get posted, I noticed, and I apologize for that. That was an error on my part. I do want help and I do appreciate the suggestions, but I also want to keep my deck's identity, I don't just want to scrap everything about it in favor of what's hot on the tournament circuit, ya know? I apologize if I've said anything that offended you, or came off as offensive, that wasn't my intent. --Berserkfhurer (talkcontribs) 06:52, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
