Forum:My Girlfriend's Deck

Here is my girlfriend's deck, the very deck I swept last night, with my Zombie Psychic Deck. It had 52 cards, in it and I took it down to 42 cards. I would like you guys to rate it, and any modifications you can think of as well.

The cards I have removed from her deck, were as follows:
Comrade Swordsman of Landstar
Little-Winguard
Psychic Snail
Telekinetic Shocker
Battle Footballer
Destructotron

Synchro Boost
Rush Recklessly

Seven Tools of the Bandit
Ultimate Offering
Synchro Deflector
Fake Trap

She will not get rid of any of her Scrap-Iron Scarecrow at all, and the reason I added Mystic Plasma Zone was because half of her monsters are dark, as well as half of her Extra Deck Monsters. She is a primarily defensive player, as you can see by her defenses. I told her bringing her deck down to 40 cards would have to change that a bit. What do you guys think about the deck, could you please rate it, and make any suggestions you might have. I was thinking of adding a Terraforming or Demise of the Land to get to her field spell card quicker, but do not have a Terraforming. I have a Demise of the Land but the cost is very high I believe. Is this field magic card for her deck worth keeping a Field Barrier in it, and if it is, I was going to just add those, as I can't see a card that I should take out, without messing up her strategies.

Well she dueled last night

The duel was quick, so her deck was quicker. She did lose the duel however, because of his cards, but she won one of the duels in the match. She actually played 4 duels, and won 2 of them. She likes the deck. I did add that Field Barrier and it helped her, out. So the deck is a 41 card deck at the moment, I was going to add a Terraforming but can't get out of the house right now, as it is extremely cold at the moment. Probably this weekend, I will get her one. One more thing, it does seem to have a weakness in the fact that she can't counter her opponent's Destroy Monster Cards. We only have one Stardust Dragon, and that is in my decks. Can you guys come up with any cards to use that counter that, and which cards should I replace them with.

How about a Prime Material Dragon as a counter for Destroy Monster Cards?

She dueled again last night

She was swept by the same guy that beat her last time, he modified his deck a bit, as he was still trying to prove me wrong on my statement that you can't build a Yughi-Oh deck based on spell cards. I believe he did it, his deck has 20 monsters in it mainly average attacks, he has a warrior based Synchro Deck, he has a bunch of magic equip cards for warriors, and 28 spell, and 1 trap. His one trap is Magical Explosion, he sends his spell cards to the graveyard very quickly and then when the math works out, he activates his magical explosion trap card.

Still looking for some modifications to her deck if you guys can help me out.

hey if you whant to beef up her deck add in the horus of black flame lvl 4,6 and 8 these will allow her a chance to pound dovn her opponent also by the time horus gets to lvl 8 she should be ble to negate the affects of magic cards also then you can use mst and dust tornado for trap removal you may also need to increase her deck limit to about 50 as it will allow more magic and more defensive cards in but also you could then iclude some attacking mosters to assist the horuses

with her being a defensive player you may need some life point recovery cards and some continus flip cards like e.g. swarm of scarabs and swarm of locusts (the two swarms will destroy monsters (swarm of scarabs) and magic or trap (swarm of locusts)

what about?

i would have to say change out the twister for the rush recklessly and maybe, why not try and teacher her to be alittle more on the attack and give her some attack cards like the axe of despair? or something? idk but its good to def but u need to get out a attack or u can't win, as for the stardust thing, i use black rose dragon as a reset card... and then that way she gets a lvl 7 in there to use, and u can fight with that dark 2400 atk power... or just clean house and if u do, play a new monster and get a free shot in ^^

Just Wondering

I was just looking at the deck and was wondering... If your girlfriend is a defensive player... why did you add in Mystic Plasma Zone? The deck may have a lot of dark monsters... but you don't want to be decreasing their defense points (Obsidian Dragon and Ghost Gardna suffers from this). May I suggest a Good attack is a good defense? maybe you could add a few high attack dark monsters instead of the defense such as Archfiend Soldier, Mad Dog of Darkness, Vorse Raider or Skilled Dark Magician? (They are all Dark attribute 1900 atk). Also if you are continuing with the defense thing... why did you take out the Battle Footballer but leave in the Giant Soldier of Stone? xP

Also just having a look at the deck's style but what about using a bit more Normal Monsters and use support cards like Dark Factory of Mass Production, Symbols of Duty (Instead of Monster Reincarnation) and Justi-Break to act as monster destruction as well as counter attack (Instead of the Negate Attack and Threatening Roar)? Another note on normal monsters~ add in a Non-Spellcasting Area to annoy that person with the spell deck rofl~ it will protect your monsters from being targeted or destroyed by spells and also negate his equip cards if he uses them on Non-effect monsters.

If not a Final Countdown will work nicely in there I think. ^^ Hope you guys get the deck you want!

if u read above it talks about how his GF didn't want to lose that card, why idk... but that is how it is... and i know what she's like, i am teaching my GF how to play now and she plays deffence cuz she dosn't want to lose a monster, she's scared of traps, and half the time she thinks its the best thing she can do... she's just not use to playing yet

My girlfriend

She doesn't worry about those things. She runs a Blackwing Monarch deck and let me tell ya, it owns me and I use Twilight. Everytime I try and set up something, she summons Gale or a Monarch and screws it over. Even when I drop JD, the next turn, she summons Armor Master and kills it. I tend to side in Chain Destruction because of Gale alone. She is near enough a pro, much like I am. What I'm saying is create decks that suite thier playing style.

Jsupunited, there are 3 girlfriends, mine whom the thread is about in the first place, Dark Stardust, whom is learning the game right now. And Ip address girlfriend, whom is near a pro. This is an old thread, though she has her deck set and I will post it here, she is content with the makeup of the dark attribute right now, and it works well enough for her. She still loses some but not very much.

Here is the build of it:

As I have said, this is an old thread, and she has become more offensive in her strategies, that is the final build of the deck, and the only modifications we make to it now are one or two cards here and there. But, thanks to all of you whom attempted to help me with it.

its all cool man, we here to help each other and when i saw the name of this i had to help cuz it made me think of my girl so yea. anyway glade to her she is getting better =D

and if u need help with any other decks let me know ok? i try to get on every day and see if anyone talks about my decks but oh well
