Forum:New way to display the Tips pages

Hi,

I'm beginning a new discussion thread to ask if you're interested in a new way to show tips about cards:
Most of the time "Card Tips" pages only explain how to get the card quickly or how to protect/summon/... it and sometimes you get one or two advices on how to deal with the card between two tips on how to play it. I think we should create two sections in the Tips pages, one for "playing with the card" and one for "dealing with the card". Using collapsible boxes we cans access quickly at what we are looking for and don't have to scroll down a lot. You can see a quick example on this page.
The main idea is to separate tips for both players (players and opponents) and hide unnecessary content.

Not in Favor

Well in most cases cards don't have that many tips, the majority of card tip pages only have a few lines of text on how to effectively use the card. It'd basically just make more work for editors, on top of that you're going to make things more complex for people trying to use it by adding another step with the addition of collapsible boxes. The most effective way is to simply keep the tip pages as is, the shorter the distance between the user and what they want, the better.

I couldn't really see them becoming a standard for the tips page, and what do you mean exactly when you say "unnecessary content" it's not like the user is going to be rushing to find specific tips on a card in the same fashion a user would look for rulings.

Also on a side note, it looks a little tacky.

The syntax is overcomplicated for most newer users.

It gets rid of the section edits option which makes things even more complicated for editors.

At most to keep things clean and simple for the above reasons, do what was done to Card Tips:Archlord Kristya.

Could the tips against the cards not have their own page instead of being on the same page as the normal tips?

Sorry, Yamimillenium, I am in the favor of various and not including the obviously tips. As Goldy, Falzar, and few other users jackhammered those reasons in my head that it's not quite requirement to have those same things. Many tip articles are unique so I am sorry. --iFredCat 10:27, November 15, 2012 (UTC)
