Forum:Once per turn effects?

I am not quite sure how to prepare the page, so please forgive the errors and if you could let me know how to fix the ones i have made.

I was wondering if someone could please explain Once per turn effects to me. Do they only apply to that specific card for like multiple Gigaplants? Also, does the once per turn reset like if you used Lonefire Blossom to special summon Gigaplant. Than equip Supervise to it and use its effect to special summon Lonefire Blossom. Is Lonefire Blossom's effect allowed to be activated again? — This unsigned comment was made by 98.127.175.126 (talkcontribs)

If you control multiple monsters with the same name, you can use each of their effects.
Yes, you can use Lonefire again because the 'once per turn' is reset when the monster leaves the field. Falzar FZ 12:59, June 19, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, what about Savior Star Dragon and Savior demon Dragon? The effect that states 'Once per turn,...' Do that effects can be activated in opponents turn? Holydragoncrusher 09:58, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

No, those are Ignition Effects and can only be activated during your Main Phase.-- HHTurtle  (Talk) 10:50, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

I've ever read that Once per turn effect of cards like Stealth Bird is not reset when it's flipped face down by its own effect..like i summon that card and in the next turn i flip it face down with its effect..then i flipped it face up again but it cannot use its effect once again because it's not reset..am i right? I still don't get it why it's different from the other.--Leonhartzz 11:01, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

You are right about the Ignition Effect of Stealth Bird being able to be used once per turn. Flipping something face-down and sending it to the graveyard and special summoning it back is different. When you flip a monster face-down, it is still the same monster. When you special summon a monster after sending it to the graveyard, it is considered as a new monster. The monster is reset, not the effect.-- HHTurtle  (Talk) 11:08, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

It's different because the text says so. If the effect was reset when it was flipped face-down by its own effect, then what would be the point in including "once per turn" in the effect? --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 18:45, June 21, 2010 (UTC)
Monster and ATK/DEF number are able to reset when flipping to face-down or removed from the field. Just don't forget that. --FredCat100 18:49, June 21, 2010 (UTC)
