My opponent activated Quaking Mirror force in response to my declare an attack, and after Quaking Mirror force resolve, My blue-eyes white dragon his in face-down defense position, and the restriction cannot change battle position if effected by this effect his applied permanently even if Quaking Mirror force his a normal trap? If yes. I have another question, after Quaking Mirror force his applied to my monster and I activated desert sunlight to flip the one effect by Quaking Mirror force to face-up Defense, his the restriction of Quaking Mirror force cancel?Supernickid (talkcontribs) 01:43, September 1, 2017 (UTC)

It's permanent as long as the monster is on the field, yes. It's called a "Lingering Effect" (remember Crush Card Virus? Similar thing). So no, "Desert Sunlight" cannot affect a monster flipped down by "Quaking Mirror Force". Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 05:05, September 1, 2017 (UTC)

Quaking Mirror Force only prevents the monster effected by Quaking Mirror Force, from changing battle position Manuelly, so Desert sunlight would still be able to flip the face-down monster face-up, but I still will not be able to change its battle position manually.Supernickid (talkcontribs) 16:22, September 2, 2017 (UTC)

No it doesn't. It prevents changing battle positions at all, card effect or manually. --MasterMarik (talkcontribs) 16:25, September 2, 2017 (UTC)
Note the specific wording of "Quaking Mirror Force". It says "Monsters changed to face-down Defense Position by this effect cannot change their battle positions". This wording is used to clarify that it is only the monsters themselves that cannot change their battle positions; card effects, such as "Stop Defense", can change the monsters' battle positions. Cards that prevent monsters changing their battle position only apply to manual battle position changes and have no relevance to card effects that change a monsters' battle position (except "Raging Cloudian" which specifically states otherwise).
Also, since the monsters are in face-down Defense Position and "Desert Sunlight" changes the monsters to face-up Defense Position, it doesn't even change their battle positions (they remain Defense Position). --SnorlaxMonster 17:17, September 2, 2017 (UTC)

@SnorlaxMonster: After my blue-eyes his in Face-up defense position because of Desert sunlight, it still can't change battle position manually because of Quaking Mirror force right?Supernickid (talkcontribs) 02:01, September 3, 2017 (UTC)

That's correct. The effect continues to apply to those monsters as long as they remain in the Monster Zone (source). --SnorlaxMonster 02:24, September 3, 2017 (UTC)
