Forum:Sea deck help

Some friends help me build this deck after I decided to stop playing. We used some packs and a starter deck. I've won some duels, but mostly loses. So I was hoping to get some advice on making the deck better like cards to take out or add etc. I'm aiming to either swarm the field and/or spam summoning poseidra. Right, then. First thing we need to do is trim this Deck from 50 cards to 40. I'm not sure where we can start, since there's a lot of directions this Deck can go. I like the deep pressure where I lock down my opponents and by pass all their monsters attacking them directly. I've done that with this deck many times before. Right now though I cannot decide on what to get rid of as they all seem to either help me sustain or help me summon monsters... But I'm leaning towards getting rid of Mecha Sea Dragon Plesion, codarus, and deep diver. Not sure which else to get rid of.Marlin121 (talk • contribs) 16:03, January 14, 2015 (UTC)

In general, lockdown combos are far too easy to break for the effort it takes to create them. How about maybe gearing this more towards Codarus to control and clear the field for direct attacks, sometimes even achieving an OTK.

A Raigeki and 1 Call of the Atlanteans can work in place of a few minor cards you may not have access too, since I don't know what your budget is. I tested this a bit and so far it works pretty well, save for an occasional awkward hand with multiple Codarus/Ocean without the other. TIP: Always try to dump Tidal to the grave ASAP, usually with Undine, because it's your main muscle here.
