In your own opinion what cards will be forbidden, limited, semi-limited either unlimited this coming september 2009 advance format and why?

The Prime Materials should be the next to be limited or banned. Konami's just gone way too far with overpowering cards like this. As well as re-banning Chaos Sorcerer. Doczo 19:03, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

i dont think chaos sorcerer will get re banned because not every deck use him.but book of moon is for sure getting axed since every deck use 2 or 3 copies at the shonen jump.dekoichi might get semi-limited or limited.and darks are still in the meta so konamis going to have to do something about them since every deck comes and goes in the meta.--Gyzarus 21:02, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Dark Strike Fighter will probably go down to 1 per deck or be banned. Rescue Cat will probably go down to 1 per deck. Tragoedia will probably also go down to one per deck. Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner and Charge of the Light Brigade either need to be semi-limited or limited. Animedude3000 21:45, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

I would like to see Heraklinos down to 1 or Test Tiger to be either semi or limited.

I would also like to see Summoner Monk down to 1 Steelfallenangel 22:48, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Steelfallenangel, seriously Heraklinos is not always that easy to get out, second, it is the only contact Gladiator Beast that does not return to the deck which makes the strategy less effective because GB players need constant control or to swap Glads for better effects. But for Test Tiger, he might go down to 2 on the list. But Glad Decks are going to have trouble with G.B. Hunter coming out really soon pubicly. JonTheMan 22:08, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Forbid Scrapiron Scarecrow. My brother sets that and then summons his Stardust, angering me especially when I have my Red Dragon Archfiend on the field. Then I must wait for De-Dynchro or Heavy Storm. Messengerofthedark 03:01, 5 May 2009 (UTC)Messengerofthedark
  • They NEED to limit or ban Honest. Honest is really annoying, & in my opinion, is the biggest backbreaker in Yu-Gi-Oh! history! For example, you have Stardust. Your opponent has Celestia. You attack Celestia with Stardust. What does your opponent do? Honest over it! Really FRICKIN' annoying! Needs to banned or at least limited. & Qa'lat does not need to be limited or banned, because he is not nearly as broken as Honest.

  • Attack with something weaker and use Prideful Roar. No matter what, your monster will be stronger. Limit Judgment Dragon. Messengerofthedark 03:53, 5 May 2009 (UTC)Messengerofthedark

Prideful Roar

Steelfallenangel 04:33, 5 May 2009 (UTC)That prideful roar tactic is one way to deal with honest but its really risky. It will only work once agaisnt that oppenent while your on the offensive. After that one time your oppenent will no longer use honest in that form and save it for moves like 'honest for game"

I perfer the reverse trap trick. Gives me more control. If I'm gonna attack that turn I activate it sealing honest from my oppenents defence. And when my oppenent declares there gonna enter there battle phase and I can see that they don't have anything that can beat me in attack i activate it making them waste there battle phase

  • It works on the defensive as well. I use Prideful because I run a beatdown, and most of my monsters have little defense. It is also less situational, as it can help me no matter what. Keeping monsters in attack sometimes stalls my opponent because they are unsure why I left a weaker monster in attack position. They think it is something like Dimensional Prison or Mirror Force. Just a little fun, playing with my opponent's mind. Messengerofthedark 21:48, 5 May 2009 (UTC)Messengerofthedark
    • You know what really works great on "Honest"? A ban. I concur that it should get the banhammer. Danny Lilithborne 00:18, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
