what can't skill drain negate?
flips? monarchs? exiled force? help? gb monsters?
- Skill Drain will not negate the effect of the Gladiator Beasts or Exiled Force because they are not on the field when their effects resolve. Skill Drain will not negate a Flip Effect or Monarchs' effects while the monster is not on the field when the effect resolve. If it is on the field when its effect resolves then Skill Drain will negate its effect. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 16:14, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
so youre saying that if skilled drain is on the field first then needle worm wont work then?
If skill drain is on the field flip effect monster effects will not activate unless they were sent to the graveyard after being flipped. (Battle) Any monster effect that occurs on the field when skill drain is active will be negated (meaning the monster is ON the field.)--Takuma. 05:31, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
So skill drain will negate the summoning effect of Raiza but it will not negate the searching effect of sangan correct? Also what about Cyber Jar...being the only flip monster I can think of that destroys itself I was just wondering because I believe the effect would resolve on the field before it hits the graveyard so the effect would be negated correct? 137.104.83.207 20:52, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
According to Breakdown of the Battle Phase Flip Effects activate before the monster goes to the Graveyard. Sabre Knight 21:29, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
- If "Needle Worm" is face-up on the field when resolving its effect, then the effect is negated. If "Needle Worm" is not face-up on the field (for example, "Book of Moon" or "Ring of Destruction" was chained and targeted "Needle Worm"), then the effect of "Needle Worm" will resolve properly and send cards to the Graveyard. This is because "Skill Drain" only affects monster that are face-up on the field.
- The same thing applies to "Raiza the Storm Monarch".
- You are correct about "Cyber Jar". It destroys itself when resolving its effect. If it is face-up on the field, its effect will be negated by "Skill Drain", so it cannot destroy itself.
