Forum:Some random Ruling questions

I have a few unrelated ruling questions..

1. When Tempest Magician's effect activates, does it destroy all counters on the field?

2. When Malevolent Catastrophe activates, if Necrovalley has a counter from Magic Reflector, does Necrovalley go to the Graveyard?

3. Can Winged Kuriboh LV10 be special summoned from the graveyard if it has already be special summoned by Transcendant Wings?

4. Can a Continuous trap card, like Skull Invitation be activated in response to an attack, or a Lightsworn's effect, like Ryko? And if so, can I chain multiple? (such as Skull Invitation and Metal Reflect Slime) I tried to do so in a duel, and my opponent insisted that it was impossible to do so, but it doesn't make sense that you would not be able to.

5. If a card effect that would send a set trap on the field to my hand is activated, if I activate that card, and its a continuous trap card, does it stay on the field?

Thanks for your help, I know some of these may seem silly. Jon Kovacs (talkcontribs) 22:36, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

1.not quite sure what you're trying to get at with your question, but Tempest Magician's last effect will remove (not destroy) ALL counters on the field (on your and your opponent's cards)

2.no.

3.pretty much no, it's a so-called Nomi monster. yet, Level Modulation can summon it since it ignores summoning conditions, works only if it has been properly summoned beforehand though.

4.both yes. attack declaration/flip summon -> you chain your trap -> opponent may chain something himself or not -> you may chain to your opponents card or (if he didnt chain anything) chain to your own trap. more information about when/if you can activate cards during the battle phase can be found here -> Breakdown of the Battle Phase

5.it depends what's written on the card. only if it specifically says to return a set spell/trap card to your hand, your trap will remain on the field if you chain to it. (extract from the rulings page of Nobleman of Extermination : If the selected card is not face-down when "Nobleman of Extermination" resolves, the effect of "Nobleman of Extermination" disappears.]

1. Not all counters, only all spell counters are removed.

4. you can it activate in response to an attack declaration. You can activate it if ryko was flipp summoned. You can't activate it if ryko was flipped face up by an attack because when its effect activates it is still the damage step. However you can activate it after the damage step is over, see the link in the above answer for more information about that. -dest- (talkcontribs) 17:31, November 9, 2010 (UTC)
