If stardust or stardust assault is already on the field can it negate the effect of solemn judgement that negates the summon of one of my monsters? since wouldn't that be the same as trap hole spell speed 1?

From the rulings solemn can't negate the summon of stardust caused due it being caused by its effect. solemn can't negate summons just caused by monster effects or including spell and traps such as assault mode activate. since negating just assault mode activate with solemn would leave stardust on the field and if 'summon" caused by assault mode activate is negated there will be no stardust on the field.

If stardust assault negates dimensional fissure or macro cosmos does it get removed? 118.90.64.8 06:10, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Stardust Dragon's or Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode's effect is spell speed 3 2 effect, so the cannot negate counter trap cards which are spell speed 3 effects, as Solemn Judgment.
Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode will not be removed since Dimensional Fissure's or Macro Cosmos's effect hasn't resolve yet.

But Stardust's effect activates when it is in the graveyard, doesn't it? Hurin dueler 19:28, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Err, ATEMVEGETA meant "are spell speed 2 effects", not 3.
Also, when you are negating the Summon of a monster with "Solemn Judgment" (or, "Thunder King Rai-Oh"), the monster is not considered to be on the field yet. Amongst other reasons, the effect of "Stardust Dragon" cannot be activated because the card being destroyed is not on the field.
For your question on "Assault Mode Activate, replace "Solemn Judgment" with "Herald of Purple Light" (Spell Speed 2), so that "Stardust Dragon" can actually chain to it. The chain would be:
Link 1: "Assault Mode Activate", Tributing "Stardust Dragon"
Link 2: "Herald of Purple Light", sending itself and another Fairy to the Graveyard
(Chain resolves normally)
For "Stardust Dragon" vs "Dimensional Fissure", it is exactly like "Imperial Order" vs "Mystical Space Typhoon". {"Imperial Order"/"Dimensional Fissure"} has not resolved yet, so you do not apply its effect yet. Thus, {Spells aren't negated/cards aren't removed from play} yet.

Ah! Yes! Thanks for the correction! ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 05:03, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Recently I had Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode and my opponent summoned Dimensional Warrior. He attacked me with it and we were unsure if I could use Stardust to negate Dimensional Warrior's effect and destroy it. Could I have done that?

i have a very good question about stardust dragon assault mode, if stardust assault mode is on the field.. and it attacks my facedown masked dragon, when masked dragon get destroyed it's effect activates in the graveyard.. will stardust dragon assault mode be able to negate and destroy masked dragon?

can stardust dragon/stardust dragon assault mode negates effect monsters effect that activates in the graveyard?..would it be possible cuz assault mode says NEGATE and destroy.how can it destroy something thats already in the graveyard?

  • Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode will negate an effect that activates in the Graveyard. It will negate the effect, but it will not destroy the monster, because monsters in the Graveyard cannot be destroyed. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 18:20, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

New Question

Jon0191 (talkcontribs) I've researched a whole lot about this Stardust Dragon Assault Mode and have found he's one of the most Controversial cards that people continue to talk about and attempt to fully understand his complete effect. But there is still one question I am not sure about. Can Stardust Dragon Assault Mode negate continuous cards that cannot be destroyed by battle such as Spirit Reaper and Blackwing Armor Master? Also can Stardust Dragon Assault Mode negate Spell Speed 3 cards such as Solemn Judgment and Divine Wrath?

Continuous and Counter kinds are too powerful for him to stop. For explain, Continuous effects are still running and never stop, like in a loop where you see no start and no end, therefore it's stuck there. And for Counter Traps, they're too powerful and is Spell Speed 3 while Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode is only Spell Speed 2, so I am sorry, he will dead to Divine Wrath easily. --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 23:36, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
