I've wanted to make these for a while, but could never get it to work very well, until Runer5h gave me his list, and I took a few ideas from that.

Thinking about dropping DAD in this, its a great card, but not always playable. Anyway, thoughts, edits, opinions? I'm open to all of them. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 04:45, December 4, 2011 (UTC)

This could probably use "Armageddon Knight" or "Means of Infestation" to dump Steelswarms to the Graveyard. I also suggest "First Step Towards Infestation" as it's an amazing card. "Verz Castor" is not an "Inverz" monster--you have the hiearchy backward.

I have no idea what you meant by the Castor comment, I know its not an "Inverz" monster, but it can be used to play more Steelswarm Monsters for an Xyz.

"Despite being released prior to "Verz", the "Steelswarm" archetype (which is known as "Inverz" in the OCG) is a "Verz" sub-archetype. Thus, all "Steelswarm" monsters are supported by "Verz" support cards." That is from the Verz page, so all Verz cards can support the Steelswarm Cards. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 17:43, December 4, 2011 (UTC)

Anything else for this deck? More Side deck choices maybe?---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 01:39, December 5, 2011 (UTC)
Is Light-Imprisoning Mirror a good choice for you? Runer5h (talkcontribs) 03:31, December 5, 2011 (UTC)Runer5h
I don't see an issue with it except that I have a Utopia in the extra deck. Forgot the Imps for DW, discarding my tribute monsters isn't very fun. I added 2 Cybers and a Chim., but not sure if I really need this for DN. BF2 was kinda right when he said that most people don't run Karakuri (Even tough they are pretty epic). ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:50, December 5, 2011 (UTC)

You really don't need 3 Girastag with Recurring Nightmare. Run 2-3 Arma Knights to help make Nightmare reach its full potential. Run Upstart before Duality. I know it seems weird, but you can't even summon Scout in the same turn as a Duality play. I originally tried it, but Resk gave me the great idea to run Upstart instead. Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 02:22, December 6, 2011 (UTC)

... You kind of do need 3 Girastag, actually. Because Girastag is still a wonderful card and a lot of your main plays will focus on him. As for not using Duality? This build doesn't rely on Scout at all - notice that there's only one. It uses Cells and Callers for tribute summons instead. (In fact, this build isn't even completely centered on tribute summons - thanks to Castor, it can unleash a fearsome variety of Verz Xyzs, from the summon-suppressing and searching Ophion to the doesn't-give-a-damn-about-your-effect-monsters Thanatos to the Change-Of-Heart-2.0 Bahamut.) Runer5h (talkcontribs) 03:13, December 6, 2011 (UTC)Runer5h
Yeah, Runer has a point, in most of my duels so far, I've used only Cell/Caller for tribute fodder. Haven't even needed to use Scout, yet. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:29, December 6, 2011 (UTC)

Steelswarm Scout seems out of place in that deck considering you almost always have something in the back row (or that's the hope at least).
It might also be a good idea to include Verz Thunderbird, it has a rather nice effect being able to dodge quite a few spells and traps.

My current build is more of a Steelswarm Monarch deck that uses Steelswarm Scout as a Treeborn Frog so it's not really the sort you're using, but feel free to take any ideas you can from it.

I don't think Thunderbird will be helpful, and I could take out the Scout. Any suggestion on to take it out for? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 01:53, December 7, 2011 (UTC)
If you really want to drop the Steelswarm Scout, might I suggest Steelswarm Needle? Level 4, so it works with Castor. 1850 ATK, which is pretty darn good. And good against synchro-based decks, yet does nothing to you. Runer5h (talkcontribs) 02:56, December 7, 2011 (UTC)Runer5h

That might be best.

Revised Steelswarms

---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:11, December 7, 2011 (UTC)

Are you sure Verz and Steelswarm monster effects can be used one each other? Because Verz Castor specifically says Verz and doesn't mention Steelswarm at all. 60.231.25.140 (talk) 06:13, December 7, 2011 (UTC)

The Japanese name of Steelswarm is Inverz. Cards that support Verz support Inverz, just like how cards that support X-Sabers support XX-Sabers. Runer5h (talkcontribs) 20:10, December 7, 2011 (UTC)Runer5h
You have to remember the TCG name is Steelswarm, and the OCG name is Inverz. I don't really know what they'll do about it when Verz come to TCG tough, but it works on DN. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 23:44, December 7, 2011 (UTC)

I did think that, the whole Inverz and Verz thing, but then I remembered [[Frog] cards. Almost every frog card that effects another frog type specifically says 'except "Frog the Jam"', I really hope they do that with Verz when they come out in TCG, because if not that'd be too confusing.

Or verz will become Elswarm
-Resk ()() 16:53, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
I think Verz, should continue to support the Steelswarm, just like how X-Sabers work with XX-Sabers. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 01:16, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
