Forum:Tournament Decklists: Yay or Nay?

OK. It's been 'usual' policy to not delve too deep into listing Decks used in Tournamnents (specifically, Decklists that are published on Yu-Gi-Oh!-related sites), or Tournaments themselves. However, I think the community should have a say on whether or not we should start to cover the Tournament scene more in-depth i.e. covering actual Tournaments and how players progressed, to potentially covering actual Duelists themselves, and Decks that Duelists have used over the years, up the present.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 01:42, March 29, 2013 (UTC)

  • I support it, because there are not many resources on the Internet that keep track of these Decklists.   • It would be helpful, some strategies other people runs in certain archetypes could be used in other decks and its not until I see the potential on those decks that I can come with some new ideas. Most of the decklist can be seen in the oficial page of YuGiOh! so I don´t see the damage of doing it for the community.Jaggo 80 (talk • contribs) 14:25, April 8, 2013 (UTC)

While I agree that a compendium of decks with a history of success is useful and informative, I feel that it would simultaneously promote cookie-cutting because we give them a complete decklist that has won tournaments, as well as a comprehensive guide on the deck itself. General Discussion[edit]

Just a note, but I think if this does go into effect, we should start to expand more on the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series page. Quite a few YCS have red links that go to nonexistent expanded pages on that event. This might be a perfect opportunity to help fill those pages. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 02:59, April 7, 2013 (UTC)
