According to Wikipedia, He doesn't exist[edit]

I click on the Wikipedia link for Xaivor Willis, Adrian's English VA, and there seems to be nothing about him. --Little Shroomish 17:33, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Dude, he's voiced by Darren Dunstan--98.111.95.197 06:18, March 13, 2010 (UTC)

Sealed beasts[edit]

Is he the ONLY secondary character who uses monsters that have a major homage to the anime cards? Sealed Exodia and Sealed Beasts seem similar enough...(Edo is a Major character so vision heroes do not count same with Sho and Manjome) Mattwo 23:34, March 10, 2010 (UTC)

meh. there not that big of a reference to Exodia- and besides Amon and Edo have about the same importance in the manga version. Also, Kaisers role is really minor in the manga and he plays a similar deck aswell.--RexGodwin (talkcontribs) 00:08, May 17, 2011 (UTC)
I'd say Edo is more of a main character in the anime because of his relevance to the plot, not to mention he's the only one who could beat Judai (kaiser's tie doesn't count) That said, Amon was kind of relevant but not nearly as much as Yubel. Mattwo (talkcontribs) 00:12, May 17, 2011 (UTC)
you mentioned Vision Heroes so i assumed you meant the manga. and hes far from the only person to defeat Judai. Kaiser flatout defeats him, aswell as Edo, that Kaibaman spirit, and Yugi/Atem. As for the manga, it would be Fubuki, Manoume, and Edo who have beaten him.--RexGodwin (talkcontribs) 01:26, May 17, 2011 (UTC)
Please use the indents by typing in colons... Anyway I forgot about about the Kaibaman thing and Yugi, well I think that's not canon personally (but could be considered canon more than his loss to Paradox lol). I'm pretty sure the duel against Kaiser was a tie though and I was talking about Edo in that case, not Amon... Mattwo (talkcontribs) 04:50, May 17, 2011 (UTC)
Nah, he had two duels agaisnt Kaiser in the anime, he got defeated once early on, and then drawed on his first year graduation duel. And Judai had no cards in his hand or on the field to do anything, his whole purpose of that duel was to have fun against his legendary idol; it didnt matter if he won or not, just to go back to that having fun while he duels mentality. Osiris killed Neos no matter how you slice it.--RexGodwin (talkcontribs) 06:41, May 17, 2011 (UTC)
You're supposed to add a colon to the number of colons in the last reply. I guess I forgot that first duel against Kaiser. That said Kaiser is a lot better at dueling. I also said before he didn't count, he's a primary character who appeared all through the series. Something Adiran didn't. Edo sort of stuck around but...nah. I know Yugi won, but my point was is that it's niether canon nor signifgant enough to the plot in my eyes. Mattwo (talkcontribs) 07:32, May 17, 2011 (UTC)

Death[edit]

I've seen episode 157, and nothing is said or seen of Amon- only the other three are shown on the boat leaving the Japanese Duel Academy. he lost against Yubel-Johan and hasnt been seen since, although Samejima is looking over files of the missing students in episode 156-namely, Judai, Misawa, Kaiser, and Amon. :P--RexGodwin (talkcontribs) 00:05, May 17, 2011 (UTC)

Except none of the others were dead either :P Mattwo (talkcontribs) 00:09, May 17, 2011 (UTC)

your missing the point. perhaps you havent seen the rest of the series past that point or i didnt clarify. Judai and Kaiser both return after this, and it was pretty much implied earlier Misawa wouldn't be coming back with them. But Amon remains missing throughout the rest of GX, and his fate was left unresolved. :P--RexGodwin (talkcontribs) 01:29, May 17, 2011 (UTC)

"Deceased"[edit]

A user keeps frequently adding the deceased characters tag on Amon Garam's page. Now although he went sparklepoof and "died" like countless others in S3, we find out they all were transported to another dimension when this happened. (Jim, Manjoume, etc.) And while Amon never returned to the human world (or at least not in series.) that doesn't necessarily mean hes "dead". I think it's more likely he chose to stay behind like Misawa. There was dialogue by Eko earlier in the season that she wished for him to stay behind and rule the dimension (it was desert world arc, but still.) As if he went back he'd be back to where he was living in SHido/Sid's shadow. So i think hes jsut in the DM Dimensions. Thoughts? :P--RexGodwin (talkcontribs) 23:30, December 6, 2012 (UTC)

Everyone else who died in that dimension was still alive at the end, even Kaiser, who died of heart failure somehow lived, so it's safe to say he was indeed still alive. Plus everyone died during a duel which was probably why he was revived anyway. Kore wa shomeidesu. (talkcontribs) 23:40, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
I don't think it is safe to say that. No mention was made of him at all. Kaiser and Judai returned and Misawa stayed. Amon was just never brought up again.
Regardless, the category itself is up for deletion. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:48, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
Well I think my logic is sound, I mean the real question is why wouldn't he be revived? But I do think that listing it on the page with mention of the ambiguous status IS more than enough, but I think it needs a merge, not a delete. Kore wa shomeidesu. (talkcontribs) 23:53, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
I dont see why, its a valid page, seperating all the living and deceased characters in the series. i think its notable, as in the later post-original series, death is less common, and when it does happen its usually important. And No mention=/dead. Again, they were all shown to have actually been transported to a different dimension set up by Yubel. It was also never explicitly stated Misawa chose to stay behind, its just something subtle that was logically assumed. (IIRC) Same thing with Amon; i felt there was enough of a hint that he was never going to come back to real world, with his whole "King" complex, and Ekos words back when they were trapped in the Desert World.--RexGodwin (talkcontribs) 23:58, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
