Does this card have Piercing effect?

Answer: YES.

• In Episode 193 during Rebecca's final turn, Rebecca thinks to herself (verbatim, English dub) "thanks to my new card, when Leon summons a monster, the difference between its DEF points and my monster's ATK points comes out of his Life Points. So, as long as he plays something with less than 2500 DEF points, I automatically win the duel.
  • Note that actually even a monster with 2500 DEF would have enabled Rebecca to win the Duel, since Leon is left with 900 LP and Rebecca's Diamond Head Dragon has 3400 ATK at the time (the mistake is due to an error in translation, as the original Japanese quotes as long as he doesn't use a monster with defending power above 2500 (...)). What this all means however, despite the mistake in translation and the fact that we never see this particular effect in action (Rebecca loses the Duel before she can attack a Defense Position monster), is that Diamond Head Dragon must indeed have Piercing effect.
