Fusion Gate ruling[edit]

  • I have an issue with this sentence: "Activating the card "Fusion Gate" (placement onto the field or flip face-up) does not Special Summon monsters, so at that time, neither "Royal Oppression" nor "Solemn Warning" can be activated as a response." - I don't really understand why this is here. What exactly does it explain about Ignition-like Effects? It just seems to be a card-specific ruling that was placed on this page randomly.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 12:17, August 24, 2012 (UTC)
By timing of action, there were no triggering of summoning - like "Future Fusion" can activate to Special Summon a Fusion Monster (which is 2 turn later anyways), but this card does not. It just activated to be exist as Field Card, then it effect became uninterrupted and be able to create bunch of Fusion Monsters without have any counter cards to stop that. Only "Magic Jammer", "Magic Drain", etc that negate Spell Card on it activation (not on it Summon Timing) can block this card. --iFredCat 12:30, August 24, 2012 (UTC)
  • I understand how the card works, that isn't the issue. I'm asking what relevance it has on this page.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 12:34, August 24, 2012 (UTC)
So you're saying that the sentence/paragraph is not clearly to explaining the reason why it do not countering? --iFredCat 12:37, August 24, 2012 (UTC)
That sentence and the one after it are related. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 12:54, August 24, 2012 (UTC)
  • They may be related, but they're still saying two different things. One is stating that you can't use Royal Oppression or Solemn Warning when you place Fusion Gate onto the field, and the other is stating that you can use Royal Oppression (but not Solemn Judgment) when you activate the Ignition-like Effect. The first sentence is a bit pointless.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 13:00, August 24, 2012 (UTC)
I see what you're meaning - Both Oppression and Solemn (Warning) can't counter the activate of Spell Card that do not start the Summon, however Oppression can negate the Summon reckless card's position. --iFredCat 13:20, August 24, 2012 (UTC)
