Dark Gaia OTK[edit]

NOTE: This deck has pretty much been scrapped because I've traded away most of the pieces from it. You can still take a look at it, and see if you like it.

Beaming Radiance[edit]

I topped at the Charlotte UDE Day on Feb 8, 2009 with this build. I went undefeated in swiss rounds (I should have lost at least 1, but my opponents made some misplays). I borrowed Crush Card Virus from a teammate that pulled it from a Gold Series pack, and it came in very useful. I was on both ends of CCV this weekend, and it really needs to be banned. One trap should not determine the outcome of a duel. In the top 8 I lost 8 cards (4 on field, 4 in hand) because my opponent used CCV late in the game. I don't have a 3rd Charge of the Light Brigade, so I ran Reinforcement of the Army as a pseudo-Charge. I'm honestly not sure if I want to keep Plaguespreader Zombie at 2. He comes in useful sometimes, but its obvious that he slows down the arrival of Judgment Dragon. I also felt the heart of the cards quite often as in some of the most critical moments I would pull Judgment Dragon or mill Necro Gardna exactly when I needed. I'm proud of the deck, but I think there's still some more tinkering I can do to make it better. A 3rd Charge would help, but even if I had one I would probably keep the ROTA in there. -- Sub 15:52, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Morphtronic Mayhem[edit]

This deck is so much fun, and it does very well too. I got 3rd at my locals, but I should have gotten at least 2nd (I beat my bro in semifinals, but I scooped afterwards so he could play finals). --Sub (Talk | Contribs) 23:47, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Gadgets[edit]

This is my updated Gadget Oppression deck. I used to main Gorz the Emissary of Darkness and the 3rd Thunder King Rai-Oh, but I found Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind so helpful that I decided to use him in there. That allowed me to cut 1x Shrink and throw in another Soul Taker. I'm really loving this deck so far, and it pretty much has no problem against most of the meta decks. I still need to get my hands on Blackwing Armor Master so that I can lock them down after I bust out Royal Oppression. --Sub (Talk | Contribs) 06:12, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Gemini City[edit]

I just won my locals with this deck today, and I was quite proud of how it ran. My biggest trouble was getting over large defense monsters, so I'll be sure to side Nobleman of Crossouts next time. I think the biggest questions people have when taking a look at this deck are "Why Cyber Dragon in a deck that runs 3 Royal Oppression?" and "Why isn't there a third Skill Drain?" First, I'm not always going to have Oppression, and Cyber is a great opener that baits out Bottomless Trap Hole. That lets me get my search with Elemental Hero Stratos going. It's a light monster, so it works well with Honest. Also, you can tribute for it if your Oppression is active.

When answering the second question, I point to the fact that this meta has a huge number of Zombies and Blackwings present. Each of those decks plays around Drain very easily, and they even side Drain most of the time. The only other big match up where a 3rd would be advantageous is against Lightsworn (for which I have Light-Imprisoning Mirror and Banisher of the Radiance in my side). Gemini Spark and Hero Blast are downright amazing. They let me maintain control whenever I didn't have Oppression. Overall I have to say that I had a lot of fun playing this deck, and it works very well against meta and non meta decks. Feel free to make suggestions! --Sub (Talk | Contribs) 06:36, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
