Hunter of Black Feathers

I didn't list it as a member. I listed it as "archrelated". It has a relation to the archetype that cannot be ignored, similar to "Duck Fighter" for the "Mecha Phantom Beast" archetype, and "Buster Blader" for the "Dark Magician" series (since it's used to fuse with Magician for "Dark Paladin"). I'll repeat myself again. I didn't list it as a member. More evidence: In Japan, they call the BW archetype "Black Feather". Also, according to your argument, this is like saying "G.B. Hunter" is not related (not a member of, I'm not saying that) to the "Gladiator Beast" archetype. "G.B.", hmm, wonder what those initials stand for. But apparently you're arguing against it by saying "Nope, not related, cuz it stops "Compulsory Escape Device" and "Majestic Star Dragon"". You are thinking in a vacuum. You cannot define everything by Japanese names. But to address it anyways, what a coincidence that all but 1 "Blackwing" monster is DARK. Clearly "Duck Fighter" wasn't made in the shape of an aircraft designed after an animal, like the whole "Mecha Phantom Beast" archetype is, to support relation to the MPB archetype. No way, no sir.

Shark

Archetypes are defined by their Japanese names - meaning the Japanese text in their names, not what that text translates to. Yes, the text "Man-Eating Black Shark" does translate to "Man-Eating Black Shark". But "Shark" support cards specify the text string "シャーク", which "Man-Eating Black Shark" lacks. There are two ways of spelling "Shark" in Japanese - and only one of them qualifies for the archetype. Cheesedude (talk • contribs) 17:54, January 21, 2014 (UTC)
