The precise release date of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters video game was revealed as December 17, 1998.
The Duel Monsters video game national tournament was announced. The issue explained that winners would be awarded in-game cards and metallic real-world versions of the cards. It showed "Zera the Mant" and "Black Luster Soldier" in the style of the "collector's cards".
