My name is Mike Gorman, otherwise known as WyvernOne. I am of Irish descent, and I love music. My Deck is customized to fit my style of play, which evolves as I learn more. From September 2004 to August 2006, I became renowned within my circle of dueling buddies as "The Dueling Encyclopedia", as I actually did my homework on the game mechanics and card rulings to become an unofficial judge. However, I have not been involved in regular competition since September 2006 due to circumstances beyond my control. That aside, I have managed to stay on top of new releases and learn more about myself since then.

From September 2004 to September 2006, I attended weekly Duelist League events every Saturday at my town's Books-A-Million. For those two years, I developed better skills, obtained better cards, and for the most part became a better person. I realized that if I could never be a championship-caliber player, I could at least learn all the ins and outs of the TCG, and be able to resolve any and all rules disputes. All good things must come to an end though, because on September 2, 2006, the store's staff cancelled their Duelist League events over finding some discarded Cybernetic Revolution packaging in the men's room. No one knew who did it, but most likely it was some punk kid who didn't know how to properly steal stuff.

As you can see, many of my cards focus on ridding the field of my opponent's resources, while consolidating my own, in order to directly attack their Life Points. "Ceasefire" is there to both pour salt on their wounds via Effect Damage and to disallow their face-down surprises. The inclusion of "Magic Cylinder" pretty much speaks for itself.

My name is Mike, otherwise known as WyvernOne.

I began playing the TCG in April 2003, around when Labyrinth of Nightmare was released in North America, and I remember that the first Rare I pulled was "Infinite Cards". Because my family never had much money to spare, it took a while for me to really get on my feet, but I did get help from several people I became close friends with. I'm sure Abridged!Téa would cream her panties over such displays of FRIENDSHIP and camaraderie.

UPDATE: As of March 30, 2010, I am officially retired from almost all aspects of Yu-Gi-Oh!

Decklists[edit]

This was my old deck, drawing from my collection of 2,401 cards (yes, I counted every last one). It had not seen significant action since July 2008, around the time of my last Hobby League tournament, and its last update was in December 2009. It had no particular goals, but it was certainly Beatstick heavy.

It, along with the rest of my collection, was given away in exchange for a few dozen anime DVDs in mid-2014.

Deck

This deck was constructed and given to me by a friend recently. It's a hybrid Naturia/Traptrix deck which I've never used before, but it's sufficient to start over with.
