- This card can be searched by "A Cat of Ill Omen" and "The Despair Uranus".
- This card can be used against "Bujin", "Gishki", "Fire Fist", "Majespecter", "Ghostrick", "Spellbook", "Qli" and "Nekroz" Decks. It also shuts down popular tech cards like "Reinforcement of the Army", "Pot of Duality", "Fire Formation - Tenki", "Fire Fortress atop Liang Peak", "Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer" etc.
- This card works well in Decks that focus more on draw power than searching.
- Use this card in a "Sylvan" Deck: The Deck generally doesn't have cards that search for other cards; instead, it has cards that put them on the top of the Deck and that rearrange them, so this card will not harm the Deck while may stop entire opposing strategies from working, such as one of the aforementioned Decks.
- This card works well in a "Rokket" Deck, since it mostly focuses on destroying "Rokkets" and Special Summoning more of them from the Deck. Use this card with "Supply Squad" to give yourself a powerful Draw Engine.
- This card, combined with "Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier", can be used to restrict only your opponent from adding cards from their Deck to their hand. Similar results can be obtained with "Mist Valley" cards and "Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite".
