Gameplay Ruling

Situation: I attack my opponents Gemini Summoner with my Cyberdark Dragon. My opponent responds with a Magic Cylinder, I then chain his card with Phoenix Wing Wind Blast and target his Gemini Summoner. Does Phoenix Wing Wind Blast change the number of monsters my opponent controls causing a Replay and thus creating no effect damage inflicted by Magic Cylinder and allowing me to attack again?

Weird issue with Toei movie appearances

For whatever reason, on certain pages, inserting "anime_toeimov = Present" actually results in the saved page reading "Not Present" instead. This issue exists at Meteor B. Dragon for sure, and could be an issue on other pages as well, though I've not checked myself. Is this a weird coding glitch of some sort? Cheesedude 20:17, March 15, 2010 (UTC)

Hello. My name is LordGeovanni. I have an idea for this site that I would like you to look at. It is featured on my user page. The main concept is when a "recommended card list" is made, like on the Spell Counter Deck page, the cards have a reason why the card was added to the list. This prevents people having an edit war over what cards belong in the list. I have taken the advantage of using my idea on the Frog page due to multiple people arguing over Junk Warrior in this deck build. I activate Fiendish Chain on my opponents 2800 ATK Fortune Lady Dark. Does the ATK of Fortune Lady Dark become 0, revert to 2000, or stay the same? Please Help...

Can we get more in depth statistics for ourselves and the wiki?

NOTE: This is a unnecessary suggestion. On the other hand, it would be so(oooooo) cool. Here is my list of ideas:

• The number of characters (like the green and red numbers that display next to an edit) that we've added and removed in total
• Number of logins
• Number of edits per visit
• Number of characters changed per visit
• Number of talk page posts

Skilled Dark/White Magician

I'm just now watching GX 143 and I noticed something: During their duel with Aster/Edo, Skilled Dark Magician and Skilled White Magician are revealed to be Demise, King of Armageddon, but for some reason that fact is nowhere to be found on their respective articles, Demise's trivia/appearance pages, the Duelists of Death page, or the episode page. I would edit all those myself but I'm wondering what we should do about the character pages, should we leave Dark and White separate and then add to the WC09 Demise's page, merge Dark and White into WC09 Demise's page, or do one of those two but make a new page for Demise and move WC09 to Demise, King of Armageddon (WC09 Character). --Blackstone Dresden 23:19, March 18, 2010 (UTC)

Episode articles

I have a few questions here (what else is new?). First, for whatever reason, the air date parameters are not functioning properly when I use them (see here). I'm attempting to add the template to all episode articles that will show up in character infoboxes, since otherwise the links do not work. The episode templates are giving be more problems than the manga templates were. Secondly, what's with the "Show Stars" section?" Does it even need to be there? I see. I wouldn't bother changing it, really. Maybe just mention that at Template:Infobox/Episode. I really do think that the "Show Stars" section is pointless. I don't know if either version distinguishes between show and guest stars, to be honest. But if we list the English, we should list both. And I don't see the reason to list either. In deck sections, should the record box or the prose detailing the deck come first? Or does it not really matter? Stardust Vs Stardust

Ruling Help

Situation: I control a Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode and my opponent controls a Stardust Dragon. My opponent activates Heavy Storm and in response I tribute Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode to negate and destroy Heavy Storm. My opponent tributes his own Stardust Dragon to negate the effect of Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode and destruction of Heavy Storm. Is this possible and if so then do I still summon Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode or the synchro Stardust Dragon or neither during my End Phase?

Hello, I have a question on wikia cursing penalties.

What is the wikia stance on cursing? I ask this because I know of a user that helps out a lot on the Ruling forum, however He? is condecending to the questioners and twice this person has had a curse word blocked. I am not sure if the curse word was blocked by a program or by himself, however the curse is still evident and still can be read because the first letter and the ending is left remaining. I went ahead and responded. I've read both the official English version and the fanslated ones online, and that term's not been used. Currently, for any manga card appearances after chp. 37, I've been "reading" the Japanese version. Archetypes

I think this wikia should take an official politic of what an archetype is. People is creating random archetypes all the time, 'cos they seem to think every character of the show must use one. The most patetic example? The "Tricorn" archetype, composed by ONLY ONE MONSTER: Lightning Tricorn. Also the "Bicorn" archetype is a one-monster-only, ´cos one of the monsters listed (Bicorn Re'em) isn't named "Bicorn" in Japanese. 190.224.18.7 19:11, March 30, 2010 (UTC)

If there's an archetype page that you think is unnecessary, please add {{Delete|reason=Insert reason here}} to the top of the page. Then people can discuss whether or not the page is worth keeping. I was thinking of categorizing some of the minor characters via dorm color, but there's some others that would be hard to categorize without resorting to "Other" or "Antagonists" as a header. Alright, good to know I'm doing ok. I can switch the portal to use the manga layout in a bit. And dividing by Season sounds fine to me. Don't be surprised if you need to tweak the layout a bit as you have before, I tend to miss little differences in the code that may throw a picture out of proportion, despite spending time trying to spot it.

Something I've been meaning to ask for a while and always forget somehow - when adding card appearances (not to the card appearances page) to the main card pages), do Duel Spirit appearances count? I usually don't add them as appearances, since for a character like Yubel or Winged Kuriboh, it would essentially be almost every episode after their debut. Cheesedude 22:56, April 8, 2010 (UTC)

It depends on the situation. Some of the spirits aren't going to have articles (and shouldn't) like the Dark World Army minions and the brief appearances of Duel Spirits in the Doma arc. In those case, counting them as card appearances seem fine to me, but I also like to be consistent, so I would feel we'd have have to list every appearance of Ojama Yellow floating next to Manjoume too. So I opted not to add any at all. Cheesedude 23:11, April 8, 2010 (UTC)
