False. I tried that for a while and hated it. Too much going on, not enough synergy. Lappyzard (talk • contribs) 16:56, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

try babysaurus + generation shift. also consider a skill drain variant(if adding juracs into the mix - recruiter is unaffected by skill drain) keep hyper hammerhead at 3 imo.( also unaffected by skill drain if doesnt survive battle) & solidarity x 2 as mentioned above. dinosaurs ahoy! also, please dont refer to a person asking for advice here as a "noob" or "scrub" even indirectly (the magical mallet comment.. though 100% correct) the only duelists that should be looked down upon are the a-holes and even they should just be ignored if possible.. or not.

Hi, this is my first thread, and i was wondering... I'm kinda a new duelist, so maybe Gadjiltron or just someone can help me with my decks? Note: Sorry if its a bit long-winded, i did say it was my first thread. LOL Deck number 1:

Machina/Gadget Deck ( Machines of the Future ) ( Honestly, I'm not sure if it's burn or swarm or what, because it seems to have a little bit of everything. )

 • = Tech card

I know that if you add it up, you get close to 60, but in my book, every card that works in my deck is a good card... most of the time.

Dinosaur Deck ( Jurassic Killers ) ( Again, not sure what it is, but it's pretty good. )

So... Deck Help? Please? Thanks to anyone who responds and DOES NOT spam this thread with things like " i won't help a noob " or something like that.

I fixed your decklists, and I'll help you once I look this over. We're all noobs at one point, so don't worry about it. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 19:25, December 27, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, I'll start with Machina Gadget since that's what I run. There are two problems that immediately jump out at me. The first is that you abolutely should stick to the 40 card minimum. Think about what happens in a duel. Let's say you're 30 cards through your deck and you really need a certain draw to save you. Well, with a 40 card deck you have a 1 in 10 chance, not bad. But if you jump up to 50 cards, then you just cut your chances in half, 1 in 20. And if you go to 60 then you cut it in thirds, 1 in 30. You see my point? Your other immediate problem is that your deck is all over the place. If you can't tell what your deck is, you probably shouldn't be running it. Always remember that 40 cards don't make a deck. The only Machinas you should be running in Machina Gadgets are Force, Fortress, Gearframe, and Peacekeeper. Possibly Soldier, but I wouldn't recommend it. Truckroid and Necro Gardna are just random-ass cards that don't fit in at all. Cyber Dragon is NOT a tech card, it's something you should have at least 2 of. I run Machina Gadgets and I use 3. I see that you have 3 Magical Mallet, which is another common noob mistake. Yeah, searching your deck is nice, but when you think about it, you're losing cards. Let's say you play all 3 in one turn. Well, if you started with 6 cards, then you're down to 5, then 4, then 3. You just cut your hand in half with no significant gain. Now you only have half as many cards to work with, so you basically just did half of the work for your opponent. The same thing goes for Hand Destruction and Card Destruction. Ultimate Offering is not necessary in Machina Gadgets, and Magical Arm Shield is flat out awful. Cut this down to 40 cards and we'll work from there. OK thanks!

I remember I used to have a dinosaur deck. Just give me some time and I can give you some suggestions but 1st I need you to answer 2 questions.

1.What format are you playing?

2.How many cards do you want in the deck?

After those are answered I should have a basic decklist for you. Ancient gear king (talkcontribs) 21:43, December 28, 2010 (UTC)

On Saurs and their Dining

Here's some advice for you:
Whew. Drastic, eh? I don't know if I could afford my suggestions. Do your best.

Saur Advice

OK thanks Square! I can afford some of those cards, but only because i own them. I recently got close to $200 for Christmas, so time to put that to good use! Also, I decided to do some slimming down after i made this thread, so i found that most of the cards you listed are out of my deck already! Also, yesterday i added 1 Bait Doll and 1 Mask of Weakness. And, Ancient Gear King, 1: Advanced Format and 2: As many as it takes to get the win.

Y'welcome. I think "Bait Doll" makes some sense, since you have to deal with Trap Cards. As for "Mask of Weakness," I don't see the point. If you encounter a battle where the ATK value of your monster is slightly lower than the ATK value of your opponent's monster, maybe. There are many things that can stop it, though.
By the way, "as many as it takes to get the win" tends to be 40.

Ok then, just give me some time to analyze it and think it over some more Ancient gear king (talkcontribs) 02:24, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

Dino deck.

For your dino deck, you can add Jurrac Monoloph, about 2 of them. Then add 2 Jurrac Velphito. Since velphito is a lvl 5, you can synchro with monoloph (which is lvl 3) with Babycerasaurus. Hope this helps! CardMaster. (talkcontribs) 02:38, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks designless square on that tip for card number Ancient gear king (talkcontribs) 02:51, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

I dunno, wouldn't he be better off using Jurrac Giganoto? You can use Jurrac Guaiba to summon Monoloph really easily.108.67.20.227 (talk) 20:36, December 29, 2010 (UTC) Q_Guy_7
