In the anime, monsters' ATK and DEF as well as duelists' LP are displayed to the viewer with the use of on-screen gauge graphics. With the exception of ZEXAL, these gauges are generally for the viewer's convenience only and do not actually exist in-universe, as the characters can find the relevant information on their equipment and cards, which may not always be visible to the viewer. Each series' point gauges are presented in a different style, thematically matching that of the series itself somehow; in addition, the dubbed versions up until ZEXAL featured different graphics to the Japanese originals.

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's

In both versions of 5D's, the monster stat gauges lacked Level displays during the first season. If attention needed to be called to a monster's Level, a separate gauge would appear.

Original

The gauges used in the Japanese version of 5D's are also used in all versions of Bonds Beyond Time. All gauges appear as round metal apertures containing a pulsating rainbow effect with the info superimposed on top. Any numbers are rendered with only as many digits as necessary and with the exception of the first season's Level gauge, are right-aligned.

Dub

The gauges in the dub are also round apertures but are instead styled after odometers. Like in the GX dub, the LP display contains a life bar alongside the numerical readout, and all numbers aside from the first season's Level gauge are always rendered with four digits. In addition, the monster stat gauges are colored either red or blue depending on whether they are displaying ATK or DEF, respectively.
