• Attacking with "Fortress Warrior" is a safe way to meet the Special Summon requirements of "Sword Master", while simultaneously protecting your own Life Points and providing your Tuner with Synchro Material.

• Combo this card with "Urgent Tuning" to do more damage.

• You can spring this card out when your monster is killed in a battle where your opponent uses "Honest" to destroy your monster.

• This card is really good against indestructible monsters like "Spirit Reaper" or "Marshmallon".

• Attacking with "Mystic Swordsman LV4", "Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke", "Sasuke Samurai" and cards similar to them in effect is a great way to Special Summon this card and automatically tune for some good Synchro Monsters.

• This card is very useful in an Amazoness deck, as "Amazoness Queen" and "Amazoness Heirloom" allow your Amazons to attack a more powerful monster without much penalty. Also, you could use "Amazoness Swords Woman" and/or "Amazoness Fighter".
• The above strategy works even better with "Amazoness Onslaught" as you can special summon this card while still banishing an opponent's monster. Then you can use "Amazoness Princess", "Amazoness Spy" and/or "Amazoness Baby Tiger" to make very power synchros such as "Naturia Beast" or "Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier". Since Sword Master is an EARTH level 3 Warrior you could also use "Ties of the Brethren" to quickly gain access to princess's search and set up a synchro play next turn.
