• "Final Attack Orders" combined with "Light of Intervention" should work well with this card. This combo can be used to rid the field of stubborn monsters such as "Spirit Reaper" and "Marshmallon".

• This card is an excellent counter measure when playing against decks that use low level monsters with lots of attack points, such as "Thunder King Rai-Oh", "Elemental Hero Stratos", etc.

• "Exploder Dragonwing" can possibly be used to inflict more damage with its effect than damage caused by a normal battle. However, keep in mind that monsters with ATK points lower than 1200 will deal less damage.

• This card can be quite effective against the lower-level Gladiator Beasts,particularly because players tend to use cards that prevent their destruction through battle like Waboku, Gladiator Beast's Battle Manica or similar cards.

• Combo this card with Revival Gift.

• This card can avoid the effects that only activate when monsters are destroyed by battle, such as Mother Grizzly or UFO Turtle.

• Use Nightmare Archfiends to inflict 2800 damage for each token.

• Use the above tip with Battle Mania to force your opponent to possibly inflict 8400 damage to themselves.

• This card's effect works regardless of battle position. You can attack a face-up defense position monster and destroy it if its attack is lower, or you can lure your opponent into attacking this card and setting "Prideful Roar". You can also use Shift to redirect the attack back to Exploder Dragonwing.

• Cards like D. Tribe can make summoning this card easier.

• Because Vice Dragon is a Dragon-Type Monster, it is easy to use it with a level 2 Tuner Monster.

• It can attack twice by using Miracle Locus or Double Attack.

• In order to defeat a high-ATK monster, you can use Union Attack.
• Use "Instant Fusion" to summon "Darkfire Dragon" then tune with a LV-3 Tuner to Synchro Summon this card.
• Increase the ATK of this card with cards like United We Stand to destroy annoying monsters like Judgment Dragon.
