This is the talk page for discussing the page, Kuriboh (archetype).

Name

I think "Kuri" would be a more fitting name for this page, as it encompasses every member of the series. They current name covers less than half. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 23:25, March 12, 2012 (UTC)

I agreed with him - as later shows (5D's and ZEXAL) has different spelling at end of the names. Like Kuribon and other. "Kuriboh" is just for Kuriboh and Winged Kuriboh, nothing more. --FredCat 23:34, March 12, 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, I would have suggested "Kurib", had it not been for "Kurivolt". --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 16:28, March 13, 2012 (UTC)
I should repeat what Cheesy told you in Gigo's talk page, go for it! --FredCat 17:18, April 5, 2012 (UTC)

Series?

Last time I checked, the "Kuri"/"Kuriboh" cards were an archetype, which has support, not a series, which is just a bunch of cards related to each other.

They have support cards for specific members, but none that supports every member. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 12:49, May 17, 2012 (UTC)
Is anyone else seeing the infobox adding Category:Archetypes to it for some reason? Even though there are no support cards listed. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 09:19, July 13, 2012 (UTC)
Both you and Cheesedude are only just noticing this? :) --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 11:56, July 13, 2012 (UTC)
Yea, I just noticed after looking through Category:Archetypes. I haven't been looking though other people's talk pages lately either even though I should. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 12:27, July 13, 2012 (UTC)
Oh hey, it's finally fixed. Wonder when that happened. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 22:35, October 21, 2012 (UTC)

archetype

why is this still classified as an archetype? ----SharkTenjo 14:57, September 2, 2012 (UTC)

More than 3 members are revealing, so it's classified as Archetype - though they are separate, they still can be aid with each other. Included a spell card - "The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh", which can summon OR add either 1 "Kuriboh" or 1 "Winged Kuriboh" to the field or to hand. --iFredCat 15:01, September 2, 2012 (UTC)
For some unknown reasons, "Berserker Crush" is treated as a support card. You can see this by going to here, put "{{Archetype card list}}" in the editing box, and then preview it. (Do not publish.) ZingerZheng (talkcontribs) 15:53, September 2, 2012 (UTC)
It's a Wikia cache issue. See the link to Dinoguy's talkpage that Golden Key posted in the previous topic. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:43, September 2, 2012 (UTC)

This might be a dumb question, but is that why they're all under "Related" now, rather than "Members?" The card directly effect the archetype monsters, or does it have to do with all of them effecting one specific card rather than any of the group? --King Starscream (talkcontribs) 20:02, September 9, 2012 (UTC)

The support cards are for single members. For example, "Multiply" can't be used with "Winged Kuriboh". It asks for a monster called "Kuriboh", not a monster with "Kuriboh" in its name. To be an archetype support card (which in this case would make this an archetype since there are none) it has to affect cards with "Kuriboh" (or "Kuri" I suppose) in its name. The way Cheesy said is same to OCG/TCG lore of "Dark Magic Curtain", which only target "Dark Magician", not any monster that included "Dark Magician" in their names: Yami Yugi pulled "Dark Magician Girl" out of his rear only because it was Anime-Break-Rules purpose. --iFredCat 00:51, September 10, 2012 (UTC)
