Yu-Gi-Oh!

  • In episode 40, Yami Bakura flips over "Happy Lover" in reverse position as the first of the cards involved in his tarot reading of Maximillion Pegasus. He states that the card normally represents the happiness of romance, but since it is upside down, it means that he has also experienced the tragedy of romance.
  • In Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monsters, "Happy Lover" is one of Tea's monsters, making regular appearances for the entire series before sacrificing itself in the final battle.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX

  • In episode 23, Belowski plays three copies of this card against Jaden Yuki. All three were separately summoned through the effect of "Human-Wave Tactics". He uses them to attack monsters stronger than they are (The first copy attacked "Elemental HERO Sparkman" and later the second copy attacked "Elemental HERO Wildheart"), triggering the effect of "Mokey Mokey Smackdown" upon their destruction. This increases his "Mokey Mokeys"' ATK to 3000 and allows Belowski to use his "Mokey Mokey"s to attack Jaden's monsters. The third copy played no part in attacking or being attacked after it was summoned.
  • In episode 34, this is one of the Duel Monsters spirits in the underground world where Jaden dueled Kaibaman.
  • In episode 50, this card appears in a flashback of episode 23.
  • This card's attack name in the Japanese version was Happy Burning, while in the English version, it was Gushy Burst.

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's

  • In episode 48, "Happy Lover" was shown in a flashback, along with other spirits who are fleeing as a Minus Curse is cast.
