• This card has a counterpart, "Goddess with the Third Eye", and a Plant-related counterpart, "Violet Witch".

• This card's ATK counterpart is "Sangan".
  • An interesting thing to note is that she appears to have multiple eyes, just like her counterpart. She actually appears to have 4 eyes, equal to her Level, while "Sangan", a Level 3 monster, has 3 eyes.

• Despite being long since forbidden, this card is a fusion material monster for 3 cards, "Musician King", "Sanwitch" and the Illegal OCG Exclusive monster, "Yasushi the Skull Knight".

• "Witch of the Black Rose" has a similar name to this card.

• This card is banned mostly because she can let you add very powerful monsters from your deck whose DEF is 1500 or less. Examples include:
  • "Summoned Skull" and "Rose Tentacles" whose DEF is 1200;
  • Every "Monarch" and "Dark Armed Dragon", all with a DEF of 1000;
  • "Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca", whose DEF is 100;
  • Countless powerful monsters with 0 DEF (e.g. "Sorciere de Fleur", "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes", "Orichalcos Shunoros", "Rocket Arrow Express", "Vampire Dragon", "Berserk Dragon", "Yubel" and its incarnations, and "Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis").
    • It is important to note that many of these cards have been printed after the Forbidding of "Witch" (2004). The fact that so many new eligible targets were created suggests that "Witch" may never return to the Advanced Format without serious repercussions.
