Card Tips:Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon
Synchro Summoning
- In a "Dragunity" Deck:
- Normal Summon "Dragunity Dux" and use its effect to equip "Dragunity Phalanx" to it. Special Summon "Phalanx" by its own effect, and then Synchro Summon "Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana". Finally, use its effect to equip "Phalanx" again and Special Summon it via its own effect, then Synchro Summon this card.
- Alternatively, the effect of "Dragunity Knight - Gae Dearg" can be used to search and then discard "Mist Valley Baby Roc", triggering its effect to Special Summon itself.
- In a "Magician" Deck, "Tuning Magician" can be combined with any Level 7 synchro to Synchro Summon this card.
- In a "Speedroid" Deck:
- Special Summon "Speedroid Terrortop" and use its effect to search "Speedroid Taketomborg"; activate its effect and Special Summon "Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice" and use its effect to turn "Terrortop" into a Level 6 monster; Synchro Summon "Clear Wing Synchro Dragon", then Normal Summon a second copy of "Red-Eyed Dice" or Special Summon the first one with "Speed Recovery", or use any other mean to Summon a Level 1 Tuner, and Synchro Summon this card.
- In a "Symphonic Warrior" Deck, if there is a "Symphonic Warrior Guitaar" and either "Symphonic Warrior Synthess" or "Symphonic Warrior Drumss" in your hand, Normal Summon the one in your hand, then use the Pendulum Effect of "Guitaars" to Special Summon the other from your Deck. Then, Synchro Summon "Hi-Speedroid Kendama" and use its effect to banish "Drumss" from your Graveyard. Finally, use "Synthess" to Special Summon the banished "Drumss" and Synchro Summon this card.
- In a "Windwitch" Deck, Special Summon "Windwitch - Ice Bell" with its own effect, and then "Windwitch - Glass Bell", use the latter's effect to search "Windwitch - Snow Bell" and Special Summon it with its own effect. Synchro Summon a Level 7 WIND Synchro Monster with "Ice" and "Glass", and then tune it with "Snow" for this card (which as a bonus is now immune to effect destruction).
- The "Windwitch" engine can fit in almost any Deck, giving easy access to this card without even wasting the Normal Summon. The only restrictions are those of "Ice Bell" and "Glass Bell" that limit the Attribute of monsters that can be Summoned for the rest of that turn.
- In a "Yang Zing" Deck:
- The effect of "Jiaotu, Darkness of the Yang Zing" can be used to Special Summon "Chiwen, Light of the Yang Zing" and "Taotie, Shadow of the Yang Zing"; then, they can be used to Synchro Summon a Level 6 monster, and that monster and "Jiaotu" can be used to Synchro Summon this card.
- "Denglong, First of the Yang Zing" can be used alongside with "Bixi, Water of the Yang Zing" to Synchro Summon a Level 7 monster, which will trigger the effect of "Denglong", allowing "Chiwen" to be Special Summoned.
- In a "Blue-Eyes" Deck:
- Activate "Mausoleum of White", then Normal Summon "Sage with Eyes of Blue". Search for "Maiden with Eyes of Blue" with "Sage's" effect, and Normal Summon her via "Mausoleum's" effect. Activate "Mausoleum's" other effect to send a Normal Monster from your Hand or Deck to the Graveyard, targeting "Maiden". At this time, chain "Maiden's" effect to Special Summon a "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your Deck, Hand, or Graveyard. Synchro Summon "Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon" with any Tuner and activate its effect to tag it out and Special Summon a level 7 LIGHT Synchro Dragon from your Extra Deck. Synchro Summon "Crystal Wing" with the Synchro Dragon and the other Tuner.
- A simpler way involves using a level 8 "Blue-Eyes" Monster on your side of the field and "Sage with Eyes of Blue", but will leave the player unable to attack for the rest of the turn. Special Summon a level 8 "Blue-Eyes" Monster via any means (you can search for "Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon" and "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" with "The Melody of Awakening Dragon" and Special Summon "Alternative" with its own effect, revive a "Blue-Eyes" Monster with either "Silver's Cry" or "Return of the Dragon Lords", etc.), then Normal Summon "Sage" and search for a level 1 LIGHT Tuner (preferably "The White Stone of Ancients"). Synchro Summon "Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon" and use its effect to Special Summon "Ancient Fairy Dragon". Use "Ancient Fairy's" effect to Special summon the Tuner you searched with "Sage", and Synchro Summon this card.
General Tips
- This card can also be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck with the effects of "Ultimaya Tzolkin" and "Metaltron XII, the True Dracombatant".
- "Follow Wing" and/or "Windwitch - Snow Bell" can be used to protect this card from destruction.
- "Honest", "Elemental HERO Honest Neos" or similar cards will backfire on the opponent, as the turn player's mandatory effect is always Chain Link 1, and the action will just add more ATK on this card.
- This card can be very effective against "Kozmo" Decks, as no Level 5 or higher "Kozmo" monsters can defeat this card in battle due to this card's effect, and whenever they activate effects that banish to Special Summon another, this card can negate them.
