* "[[Card Trooper]]" is a prime candidate for a deck running triple Pot of Dichotomy. Trooper lets you quickly load the Graveyard for Dichotomy, serves as one of the 3 types (assuming you don't run many Machines), and even nets you a draw to replace itself when it's destroyed. Thus, these two cards can work well together to form a [[Draw Engine]] for any Deck that can support the milling/multi-type aspects.

  • Note that the clause "At the start of your Main Phase 1" prevents you from activating more than one copy of this card per turn, as resolving one copy means it is no longer the start of your Main Phase 1.
  • This card works well in a Deck whose Extra Deck relies on a wide variety of cards, rather than being centered around a single theme. Having multiple Extra Deck monster Type options for the same combination of monsters on the field makes satisfying this card's condition easier.
  • "Card Trooper" is a prime candidate for a deck running triple Pot of Dichotomy. Trooper lets you quickly load the Graveyard for Dichotomy, serves as one of the 3 types (assuming you don't run many Machines), and even nets you a draw to replace itself when it's destroyed. Thus, these two cards can work well together to form a Draw Engine for any Deck that can support the milling/multi-type aspects.
  • Use this card in a "Lightsworn" Deck, that has monsters of different Types. If after using this card your are still able to Summon "Judgment Dragon", activate its effect to nuke the Field, so skipping your Battle Phase will not be a huge drawback.
  • Combine this card with "Coach King Giantrainer" to draw up to 5 cards, and inflict 2400 damage to your opponent. That monster's effect also skips your Battle Phase, so this card's drawback will not be a problem.
  • This card works well in Decks that use 2-3 copies of "Maxx "C"" and "Effect Veiler", along with a different monster Type.
  • This card works well in decks that do not need to attack, such as "Chain Burn" Decks, where the objective is to reduce Life Points to 0 by card effects.
  • Use with "Destiny HERO - Diamond Dude" to bypass the cost of targeting 3 monsters, and draw 2 cards, and you will not miss your Battle Phase due to the fact that the effect is activated not the card.
    • Thought targeting the three monsters is a cost, shuffling them back into the deck (in the current translation) does not seem to be. This means that this card resolves with no effect when activated by "Diamond Dude" because the first effect has no targets, and cannot resolve.
  • This card can be useful in a "Numbers" deck, as the monsters in the "Numbers" archetype have a wide variety of different types, making them easy candidates for this card's effect while generating hand advantage.
