The Bandai version of this card is Level 5 and has 2100 ATK & 1600 DEF, whereas the Konami version is Level 4 and has 1500 ATK & 800 DEF.

This card (with white horns and spikes) appears in the artwork of "Flying Dragon Whirl".

This is the second Monster Card and first Dragon-Type monster seen in the anime.

This is the second card played in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, the first being "Kagemusha of the Blue Flame".

The ilustration in the image's artwork resembles the first appearance of "Blackland Fire Dragon" when summoned out from the card in the first duel between Yugi and Seto Kaiba in the manga. Its original name in the manga is "Ankoku no Doragon" (Dragon of Darkness), the same as the Japanese version of the card.

This is the first monster summoned by Yugi Muto in the manga, and against the "Gāgoiru" (Gargoyle) of Seto Kaiba ("Ryu-Kishin").
