- This card is needed to Special Summon "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon". However, "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon" was released in the TCG in August 2004, a year and a half before this card was released, so before then, "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon" was completely unplayable, even though it was technically legal for tournament use.

- "Cyber End Dragon" is the Machine-type version of this card.
- "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" is the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL counterpart to this card.
- This monster could have been based off of the Godzilla monster King Ghidorah, as they share many similarities being that they are both three-headed dragons, that they are said to be near indestructible, and their primary attacks are bolts of lightning fired from their mouths.
- This card, "D.3.S. Frog", "Mokey Mokey King" and "Cyber End Dragon" are the only Fusion Monsters to use three of the same monster as Fusion Material Monsters.
- This card is the first Level 12 card to appear in the anime.
- In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL - Episode 015, this card is featured as a statue.
