Fairy
Fairy monsters usually represent beings of Light such as sprites or angels (Japanese Name). Despite their name, some Fairies are actually quite powerful. Many times, the effects of Fairy monsters involve some restoration of the player's Life Points. They are at a disadvantage when Yami is on the field, though many gain a 500 ATK point boost from cards such as Luminous Spark. Some Fairy-Type monsters include:
- Aitsu
- Agido
- Airknight Parshath
- Banisher of the Light
- Banisher of the Radiance
- Bountiful Artemis
- Dancing Fairy
- Dark Witch
- Doitsu
- Dunames Dark Witch
- Gellenduo
- Goddess With the Third Eye
- Herald of Green Light
- Hysteric Fairy
- Koitsu
- Layard the Liberator
- Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands
- Marshmallon
- Mokey Mokey
- Mokey Mokey King
- Mystical Shine Ball
- Neo-Parshath, the Sky Paladin
- Nova Summoner
- Petit Angel
- Ray and Temperature
- Royal Knight
- Shinato, King of a Higher Plane
- Shining Abyss

- Soitsu
- Soul of Purity and Light
- Silpheed
- St. Joan
- The Forgiving Maiden
- Winged Kuriboh
- Winged Kuriboh LV10

The Agent cards of the Ancient Sanctuary series are perhaps some of the best-known Fairies and some possess good effects. They include:
- The Agent of Creation - Venus
- The Agent of Force - Mars
- The Agent of Judgment - Saturn
- The Agent of Wisdom - Mercury
Fairies even have their own Field Spell Card, The Sanctuary in the Sky.
A card that helps Winged Kuriboh evolve into Winged Kuriboh LV10 is Transcendent Wings.
Aitsu and Koitsu work very well together as a low-level union with a high attack, as do Soitsu and Doitsu.
In the OCG, Fairies were called Angels.
