"Felgrand" (フェルグラント Feruguranto) is a series of LIGHT monsters, with "Felgrand Dragon" being the first member introduced in the Rise of the Dragon Lords Structure Deck. It gained a retrained version and new support in Structure Deck R: Revival of the Great Divine Dragon.

Playing Style

"Paladin of Felgrand" and "Guardian of Felgrand" are used in combination with "Ruins of the Divine Dragon Lords" for a two card combo to search for "Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand". "Paladin" and "Guardian" also activate the effect of "Light and Darkness Dragon" to starting early game engine for Dragon-Types after searching for the first "Felgrand". It is recommended to use only one copy of "Ruins", since it is capable of recycling itself from the Graveyard and its effect negation has the potential to backfire.

If running "Dragon Ravine", "Paladin" can also set up for the effect of "Dragunity Arma Leyvaten", if running the combination "Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana", "Dragunity Dux", and "Dragunity Phalanx". This is useful to Synchro Summon monsters such as "Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon".

"Brilliant Fusion" for "Gem-Knight Seraphinite" and "Instant Fusion" for "Elder Entity Norden" can be used as Tribute engine cards by increasing your number of Normal Summons per turn.

"Black Dragon Collapserpent" and "White Dragon Wyverburster" are good additions to this Deck, as they search each other when sent from the field to the Graveyard and can be used to Summon "Queen Dragun Djinn", which can Summon high-Level Dragons from the Graveyard.

"Decoy Dragon" is a good addition to this deck, as it can use it effect to special summon any Level 7 or higher Dragon-Type monsters from the graveyard, such a "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon", "Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand", etc. Alternatively, if running "Dragon Ravine", you can use its effect by discarding "Arkbrave Dragon" and send "Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand" from the deck to the graveyard, then use "Arkbrave" effect to special summon "Felgrand" during the opponent Standby Phase, and trigger its effect to remove a monster from the opponent's field.
