"Hell" (地獄（ヘル）, Heru) is an archetype of cards used by Sect Ijuin in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's manga. The monsters are all Insects, and many of their support Spell and Trap Cards' effects activate by sending "Hell" monsters from the hand to the Graveyard.

Design

Monsters belonging to this group are based on arthropods, and have a demonic and cartoon-like appearance, with bodies covered in spikes and sometimes possessing exaggerated facial expressions. Their symbol is a white skull with a black background, which is featured somewhere in all of the monsters and in some of the Spell/Traps.

Trivia

• The only "Hell" monster released in the TCG is "Hell Centipede" where it is renamed "Hundred-Footed Horror". The localization of 「ヘル」 as "Horror" rather than "Hell" is likely to avoid the latter word's associations with religion, death and mature language.
