Photon Hand is another method of taking "Numbers" monsters from their owners It is technological in origin and provided to Kaito Tenjo by Dr. Faker.[1]

Kaito using Photon Hand.

It lets the person to obtain a "Number" card from a defeated opponent, similar to Astral. When someone uses Photon Hand, an illuminated hand and arm forms, stretching out and entering the fallen foe. The "Number" card initially appears in the user's hand as a glowing orb before morphing back into the card. This technique steals the soul of the victim, who ages considerably after losing their "Number" which also leaves them catatonic. Kaito was told by Mr. Heartland that all "Number" holders are evil, so stealing their souls does not matter.[1]

Kaito claimed that he doesn't know what happens to the souls he takes.[2] Jin claimed that the "Numbers" consume their owner's hearts and drain their souls which would explain why Photon Hand also takes the victim's soul.[3]

Jin also possessed this ability, though how or from whom he acquired it is not known.[3]
