I guarantee you that we will get to your deck, but you've got to understand that we are doing this during our own free time. Until today, I didn't have my laptop so I couldn't test anything that I make. While I probably won't get to yours this week. I'm the only deck maker who moves from the top to bottom, the others jump around to the decks that they most enjoy. While waiting, I recommend that you look in the archive. I built a CB deck a while ago that you might find beneficial while/if you're waiting for me.  --Tantara (talk) 22:06, September 8, 2009 (UTC)

Revision as of 22:06, 8 September 2009

Hey guys and gals, I hope that I did this right, and that this works out the way it is supposed to. I had asked Darth Covah how to do this, then saw the link. At any rate, if you want to talk about anything here you go.

Re: A couple of things

 • I see you have already created a Talk Page. Talk Pages are used by wikia members to communicate (makes sense, huh?).
 • I'll be commenting on your Earth Warrior deck ASAP.
 • I'll send you the decklist. Make sure your girlfriend practices the deck, it is difficult to use at first. --Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs) 12:41, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
 • Trunade can be substituted by Blessing, and Kuraz by either a Torrential Tribute or a Foolish Burial. As for the Ruins, they are of immense importance, so do try and find one more. Until then, you can use the other substitute of Kuraz (Foolish or Torrential). So your decklist would be like:
-1 Ruins
-1 Trunade
-1 Kuraz
+1 Foolish......|
+1 Torrential...|---> You can also substitute one of those for a Mystical Space Typhoon, if you like.
+1 Blessing....|
I do, however, want to state that the deck will be much more efficient with the original 3 cards. Trunade is the least of the 3, but Ruins and then Kuraz are of great importance, so do try and get them. Ruins is easily traded for or bought, and you can pull one in Jesse Anderson Duelist Packs. Kuraz is also easy to trade for or buy, and you have a 50% chance of pulling one in a Special Edition Light of Destruction. Hope these help. --Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs) 01:13, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Re: Darth Covah

I have a Kuraz on the way, thanks to Ebay. I will look for a Jesse Anderson Duelist pack for the other card. When I get the complete and total build, I will list it on my User Page under the Girlfriend Section, you can check it out from there. Also please don't waste your time, looking at the Earth Warrior Deck, I am swapping it out for a Psychic and Warrior hybrid. I do have the Ruins on the way, so we should be able to fulfill the build here by this weekend.

Re:Signature

It's fairly straightforward - go to "MORE" on the upper right corner of your screen, and select "My Preferences" from the drop-down menu. Then go to "Signature", and edit it as you wish. For instance, I use: Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs). --Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs) 21:39, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

duel

I saw your decks and thought it might be interesting to play you, so, wanna duel sometime? --Reapaer 20:19, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

We could do that, but I have never dueled on line, and I live in Pa, so you would have to set up a time. Leave a reply here, to let me know. I will see what I can do, and thanks for asking.

Duelist33(My Talk) 21:00, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

K, well any time (manely during the weekend) is fine for me. I'll explain how to play over the internet when you feel like playing. You may also want to leave the message on my talk. --Reapaer 21:06, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

I don't have a link to your talk page.

Duelist33(My Talk) 19:13, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey

Hey there, saw that you said a little intro/challenge and wanted to let you know A) I am up for a duel anytime!(save for when I am sleeping that is) and B) I kind of already have a talk page, doesn't everyone? It's the discussion part of the user page.. you know that.. discussion button next to then user page button? lol anyways good talkin' with you.

Hope to duel you soon, Sandy Sagebrush 19:13, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Well you did say you wanted to duel so how about it? Though the only competent way I can think of doing so is by dueling through an IM of sorts. I read your user page and damn your lucky I only know a few people who play the game and most of my family are jocks.. so I all alone some times *sniffles* but I still will continue on to kick some butt! Speaking of which sir.. *throws the preverbal glove at his face* I challenge you.

Sandy Sagebrush 20:36, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

No no, like dueling on an actual IM like Msn or yahoo? That way we don't have to wait a week for the actual duel to finish A and B we can keep the cards that we have played and ect fresh instead of having to remember it or write it down. If we need to look at what a card does.. we have this place yeah? Hmm you think we should get a 'judge' in on it or something?

Starter Deck

The list for the TCG Starter Deck 2009 has not been announced. It is only expected to be similar to the Japanese version. But it's release dates have; 5th of June in Europe and 9th of June in North America.

What we do know is it will have 40 cards, 37 Common and 3 foil. Among them are "Road Synchron", "Road Warrior" and a few "X-Saber" cards. -- Deltaneos (talk) 17:16, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Okay

Okay let me just answer the questions in the order they were asked.

I live in Arizona to answer the question about time zones, so I think MST?
Any day is really okay with me, though I too sadly have to do an Easter related event with the 'fam' and I am free today and most of the week. Save for Saturday and Sunday, which are either DnD day and or work/clean up days.
I guess I would have to say.. proxy cards I am not sure about because if you go proxy then expect me to as well lol. I mean I have no problems but if were going to do proxy cards then we will need a list of all the cards we have in our decks(proxy and not) to make sure (for fairness's sake) that neither of us 'slip' one or so cards in, no offense. So yeah hope to duel you sooner or later and I hope your Easter is better then mine.

Re: Dueling on-line

 • I'm glad you are now able to duel on-line, since I have always wanted to duel new people. And don't worry about how we're going to duel, it's fairly easy via IM (e.g. MSN, Skype e.t.c.). You just describe what you are doing, and stop at every point the opponent may respond. It's easy to do, you'll get the hang of it in no time, promise. Now, as for the duel itself, I'm (as said above) willing and ready! Now, I also saw Sandy's suggestions, and albeit I agree to them, I kinda find them unnecessary. If the other guy/gal wants to cheat, they will. I don't cheat though, FYI :-D.
As for proxies, I do either of the following:
 • Print a color copy of the card from a picture I get online (her, usually), cut it down to size and fit it in a sleeve along with a common, for rigidity.
 • Tear a small piece of paper, and write down the card's name and minor stats (card type, ATK and DEF for monsters).
I personally agree with proxies, as I use them too, but for very specific reasons, and I'm also very strict on their use:
 • No more than half the deck should be proxied, unless if it is a new concept that needs to be tested.
 • Cards too rare to find normally cannot be proxied. Crush Card Virus, Dark Armed Dragon, Honest e.t.c. must never be proxied.
 • In official tournaments, no proxies. Including Hobby Leagues.
 • In friendly matches, you can proxy any card, so long as you own at least one copy of it already.
 • Cards with minimal value/rarity can be proxied freely (e.g. Waboku, Threatening Roar e.t.c.).

That's my take on the subject. As I have already stated, I do use proxies, but none of my proper decks use any. Only my Morphtronics and my recent 8-star-monsters-only deck use proxies. And even them abide by the rules I mentioned above.

If you want to duel me, pm me with a time, so that I can answer whether or not I'll be available. You can also choose one of my decks to duel (from my DeckZone), but beware that some have been "dismantled", and others are digital. I also own some decks that are not on that page. Also, since I use those decks, I tweak them constantly (as my opponents are the best duelists in Greece - I play against the top 8 of the Nationals :-S), so don't expect the deck to be exactly as stated. I will, however, update the page soon, so you'll be able to choose if you want. --Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs) 21:43, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

 • You can download an IM program (any will do I think, I prefer MSN messenger (now Windows Live Messenger)). You can use any email address with it, so don't worry. After you download and install it, along with any updates, add any contact emails you have and chat/duel! --Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs) 16:49, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Re: Hey bro, can you help me out again.

It is summer time now, so I have time, don't sweat it! I will try and help you with your son's deck despite the fact I have very little experience with dragon decks - but I always come through! As for your dueling experiences with my deck, I'll tell you this much - I wouldn't take it to a tourney! It is out of date, and cannot easily compete with current decks. But there are some recent cards that can help power this deck up immensely; try the following:

 • Take out:
1x Amber Mammoth
1x Emerald Tortoise
1x Rainbow Dragon
1x Kuraz
3x Nimble Momonga
 • Add:
2x Summoner Monk
3x X-Saber Airbellum
1x Rescue Cat
1x Monster Reborn

(You can side those too - it is a total conversion side deck to make Crystal Fist into Crystal Cat Synchro!)

I'll comment on your son's deck ASAP.

P.S. What did you remove for Torrential Tribute? --Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs) 16:31, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

RE: Finding the Lost Thread

Re:Dark Strike Mistress Deck

 • STOP MAKING IT! Half its core cards are gonna get banned on the 1st of September! CCV, Dark Strike Fighter, Black Rose and Mind Control, namely. It will still be playable, but much, much less powerful. Leave me a PM with the cards you got (use a new heading) and I'll give you a well priced new DARK decklist to use. What can I say? They killed the deck completely (with good reason though, it was too good to stay). --Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs) 07:56, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

hey stupid question do you know duelist101 he was a user and he has not said a word in 6 months Blackwingggys 15:57, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

No, I don't know that person. My name is concocted from my age and my hobby, sorry no clue as to duelist101

Re:Dark Attribute Deck Version 2.0 because of stupid ban list

 • So you have Dekoichi, DAD, Gorz, and I'll assume that you also have some other core cards. Lemme see...How about a Dark Creator DDTurbo, with some twists?
I'll take it you don't have Destiny Draw, Destiny Hero - Malicious or Destiny Hero - Plasma. It's ok. There are alternatives.
Let's start:
First of all, there are some cards that you could get that'd help tremendously any DARK deck, this one included. Try and find any of the above 3, although I suppose it will be nigh-impossible. Try to get at least one Dark Grepher though - very useful. Dark Nephthys can also help. Veil of Darkness can feed the Graveyard for DAD or DCreator. Necro Gardna is now cheaper than cheap, and still as useful as ever. Plaguespreader Zombie is still the best tuner there is. Elemental Hero Stratos is a very good searcher. Destiny Hero - Doom Lord is a good problem solver. Destiny Hero - Diamond Dude is cheap and powerful. Emergency Teleport is useful, even at 1. Burial from a Different Dimension and Escape from the Dark Dimension are also good for DARK decks, since they play with the Removed Zone a lot. I'll, again, give you 2 lists: an expensive one and a cheap one:

I haven't playtested such a deck, so you'd better test it with proxies before making it. Any questions on how to use it, just ask. If you don't like the deck idea, I can make you another deck. Does Virus Control sound good? --Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs) 16:28, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

I have alot of the key cards for that Virus Control Deck as well. I will playtest the first two and go from there. Thanks again.

Duelist33(My Talk) 17:07, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

 • To see the new list, go to [1]. You'll see changes noted on the right side of the table. --Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs) 17:17, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

They moved Monster Reborn from limited to forbidden on that link. Should I put another Monster Reincarnation in there for it.

Duelist33(My Talk) 17:23, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

What about the Extra Deck, there wasn't any listed, I would assume your normal, ie BRD, Stardust, Red Dragon Archfiend, Goyo and the like any other ones that might help ie Colossal Fighter and the likes

Re: Where are you from

No, I should thank you for pointing out my counting errors on my decklists. The characters on my sig mean Blue-Eyes White Kid in Japanese. I am from Okinawa, and I have moved to California. -bewk

I was in the Marines, and was stationed at Okinawa for a year, is your father a Marine? The reason I ask is because, I was also stationed at Camp Pendleton for the majority of my 5 years in.

We do have a line of decks on Decks for Free! We tend to work on the decks that were posted before yours. --Tantara (talk) 20:48, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

GB Deck Guide

Thanks, it took a while to make. I have played GBs since they came out in Gladiator's Assult - back when they were worthless, and couldn't "assult" anything. I guess it took people some time, and some more booster packs, to realize the power of the archetype. You have quite the assortment of Decks. Which one would you call your favorite? In my sig, click on the アイズ to go straight to my talk, where I can reply faster. -bewk

Let us share...

In our mutual hatred of 4kids lol. Anyways, I didn't actually buy them because the thing is, since 4kids is producing it here in America.. there is high chance that their dvd's are the only ones your going to see, other then Amazon you can do what I do. Every Wed or Thur a person by the name of Prismweapon on youtube posts the subbed versions of the show. Now the cool thing is, is that their subtitles are the most accurate right now and he usually gets them done within a day or two after the initial showing.. in Japan! It's so awesome, but yeah so far he has every episode and you can look up youtube for yugioh 5d's subbed, since thankfully, a lot of people hate 4kids as much as I do. I hope that helped! Oh yeah and if anyone reports them on youtube, congrats your a douche and I hope you have to get your wisdom teeth pulled out...all in one day... >:(

Machine Deck

Have you considered cards like Black Salvo or Phantom of Chaos? Those work well with Reactor decks. Also, Cyber Dragon and Chimeratech Fortress Dragon work nicely with decks like these. --Bluedog (Talk) 20:22, September 5, 2009 (UTC)

 • I'd say... Remove a Turbo Booster for a Cyber Dragon. Also, keep Quillbolts in place of Scout Plane. --Bluedog (Talk) 01:30, September 7, 2009 (UTC)
 • Armory Arm sounds a lot better, but it's up to you, of course. --Bluedog (Talk) 16:28, September 7, 2009 (UTC)
No problem. --Bluedog (Talk) 16:46, September 7, 2009 (UTC)
