Major Events
- Odion pretends to be Marik.
- Odion Summons The Winged Dragon of Ra, but his card is a fake. This angers the real Ra. It knocks out both Duelists. Joey gets up first and therefore wins.
- After the loss, Marik's dark side is freed and takes over.
Duel Recap
- Joey Summons Gearfried the Iron Knight.
- Odion activates Temple of the Kings and Sets two cards.
- Joey Summons Tiny Guardian.
- Odion Sets two more cards.
- Joey Summons Hayabusa Knight and then activates Giant Trunade, but Odion activates Judgment of Anubis, negating and destroying Giant Trunade. Next all of Joey's monsters are destroyed and his Life Points drop to 1900.
- Odion Sets two cards.
- Joey Summons Alligator Sword and Sets a card.
- Odion passes.
- Joey passes.
- Odion passes again.
- Joey Summons Rocket Warrior and attacks, but Odion activates Eye of Wdjat, redirecting the attack to Alligator Sword. Joey, however, activates Fairy Box and the attack target misses. Odion activates three Embodiment of Apophis, each of which turns into a monster with 1600 ATK. Joey Sets a card and switches Alligator Sword to Defense Position.
- Odion attacks, but Joey activates Scapegoat. Odion, however, activates Magic Jammer to negate it. Both of Joey's monsters are destroyed and his Life Points drop to 200.
- Joey Summons Swordsman of Landstar and Sets two cards in Defense Position.
- Odion attacks, but Joey activates Foolish Burial and Graverobber to Special Summon Jinzo. It destroys all of Odion's Trap Cards, including his three Apophis monsters.
- Joey Summons Battle Warrior and switches Swordsman of Landstar to Attack Position. He attacks Odion directly with all of his monsters, dropping his Life Points to 400.
- Odion activates Swords of Revealing Light.
- Joey Tributes Battle Warrior to Summon The Legendary Fisherman in Defense Position, then switches his other monsters to Defense Position as well.
- Odion places a card in Temple of the Kings and Sets a card.
- Joey activates Monster Reborn to Special Summon Alligator Sword, then Tributes it and Swordsman of Landstar to Summon Insect Queen in Defense Position.
- Odion activates Cup of Sealed Soul and Seal of Serket to Special Summon Mystical Beast Serket.
- Joey passes his next four turns.
- Mystical Beast Serket destroys Jinzo, then Insect Queen, and finally, The Legendary Fisherman, raising its ATK to 5825. Odion tries to attack Joey directly, but Marik tells him to Summon The Winged Dragon of Ra instead. Odion Tributes Mystical Beast Serket and pays half of his Life Points to Summon Ra (normally, three Tributes are required and no Life Points are needed to Summon an Egyptian God Card, but Odion explains that since his Serket destroyed three of Joey's monsters, it can serve as three Tributes). Odion orders Ra to attack, but it disobeys. The real Ra knocks both Duelists out. Joey gets up first and thus he is the winner.
