Yu-Gi-Oh! GX[edit]

  • In episode 27, Gravekeeper's Chief uses this card during his Duel against Jaden Yuki. He sets this card in Defense Position. Later the Chief Flip Summons this card. The effect of this card then activates, inflicting 500 damage to Jaden. The Chief then activates "Necrovalley" which increases the ATK of this card and "Gravekeeper's Assailant" by 500. This card then attacks and destroys "Wroughtweiler". Jaden tries to activate the effect of "Wroughtweiler", but the Chief explains "Necrovalley" prevents both players from activating or using effects that involve removing cards from the Graveyard. In the next episode, the Chief Tributes this card in order to Tribute Summon "Gravekeeper's Chief". After the Chief activates the effect of "Gravekeeper's Chief" to revive "Gravekeeper's Spear Soldier", he activates "Rite of Spirit" to revive this card. This activates this card's effect, inflicting 500 damage to Jaden. This card then gains 500 ATK and DEF due to "Necrovalley". After "Gravekeeper's Chief" attacks directly and Jaden activates "Draining Shield" to negate the attack and increase his Life Points by the ATK of "Gravekeeper's Chief", this card and "Gravekeeper's Spear Soldier" attack directly. On the final turn of the Duel, "Elemental Hero Bladedge" attacks and destroys this card, winning Jaden the duel.
    • In the latter above-mentioned episode, this card appeared in a flashback Jaden has when he reminds the Chief on him using "Royal Tribute" to force Jaden to discard all monsters in his hand.
  • In episode 29, this card appears in a series of flashbacks Jaden has when he remembers his previous experiences with actual Shadow Games.
  • In episode 62, this card appears in one of the many flashback bubbles Jaden sees in as he travels into Neo Space.
  • This card's attack name is Doomsday Purge in the English version and Destruction Spell in the Japanese version, while its effect name in the Japanese version is Weakening Spell.
