• In episode 34, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Trey. After he Normal Summons this card, it gains 300 ATK due to "Sunken Kingdom". Trey explains at this point that Level 4 or below monsters can't target "Chronomaly" monsters for attacks while "Sunken Kingdom" is face-up. Shark then activates "Falling Current" and declares Level 1 for its effect in order to reduce this card's Level by one. After Shark Special Summons "Big Jaws" via its own effect, Shark overlays this card and "Big Jaws" in order to Xyz Summon "Black Ray Lancer".
• In episode 46, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Yuma Tsukumo. He made this card a Level 3 monster through unknown means. This card attacks directly after "Big Jaws" attacks and destroys "Gagaga Magician", but Yuma activates "Small Resistance" to target "Gagaga Girl" and reduce this card's ATK by the ATK of "Gagaga Girl". The direct attack continues. At the end of the Battle Phase, the effect of "Small Resistance" expires, returning this card's ATK to its original value. Shark then overlays this card with "Big Jaws" in order to Xyz Summon "Submersible Carrier Aero Shark".
• In episode 57, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Quattro. After he Normal Summons this card and activates "Bubble Bringer" to revive "Tripod Fish", Quattro activates the effect of "Magma Field" to destroy both of Shark's monsters, but Shark activates "Adapt to Adversity" to prevent his WATER monsters from being destroyed by Spells and Traps when they are summoned. Shark then overlays this card and "Tripod Fish" (who was Level 4 through its own effect and treated as two monsters for the Xyz Summon via "Bubble Bringer") in order to Xyz Summon "Number 32: Shark Drake".
• In episode 69, Shark uses this card during his Tag-Team Duel with Yuma and Kite Tenjo against Dr. Faker. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. After Shark Special Summons "Xyz Remora" via its own effect, Shark overlays this card and "Xyz Remora" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 32: Shark Drake" (due to the second effect of "Xyz Remora", the number of monsters required to Xyz Summon this card was reduced by one).
• In episode 78, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Art Stanley while the latter was possessed by the Barians. After he Normal Summons this card, Art activates "Ordeal of the Hero" to force Shark to Special Summon "Spear Shark" and "Double Shark". Shark then overlays this card, "Spear Shark", and "Double Shark" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 32: Shark Drake". After Art Xyz Summons "Chaos Xyz Comics Hero Legend Arthur" via "Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force", the latter card detaches the Overlay Units of "Shark Drake" and attaches them to "Comics Hero Legend Arthur".

• In chapter 3, Shark Normal Summons this card. He then reduces it's level to Special Summon "Big Jaws" from his hand. He then overlays them to Xyz Summon "Black Ray Lancer".
• In chapter 4, Shark Special Summons this card from the Graveyard via "Monster Reborn". He then overlays this card with "Shocktopus" and "Shark Stickers" to Xyz Summon "Number 32: Shark Drake".
