Card Rulings:Evil Blast
TCG Rulings
- "Evil Blast" targets the monster that you equip it to.[1]
- You cannot activate "Evil Blast" during the Damage Step.[1]
- When "Evil Blast" is equipped to a monster, you can switch it to a different monster with "Tailor of the Fickle."[1]
- You can activate "Evil Blast" even if multiple monsters are Special Summoned at the same time.[1]
OCG Rulings
- The effect "Activate only when a monster is Special Summoned to your opponent's side of the field. Equip this card to that monster. It gains 500 ATK. During each of your opponent's Standby Phases, inflict 500 damage to your opponent" resolves as the resolution of the activation of the card "Evil Blast". (It cannot be activated during the Damage Step.)[2]
- When "Evil Blast" is activated, it targets 1 face-up monster in the opponent's Monster Zone (the monster whose Special Summon allowed this card to meet its activation timing).[2]
- When a monster is Special Summoned in the opponent's Monster Zone by a card effect activated as Chain Link 2 or higher, "Evil Blast" cannot be activated.[2]
- At a point after "Evil Blast" has been treated as an Equip Card, the effect "During each of your opponent's Standby Phases, inflict 500 damage to your opponent" activates and makes a Chain Link. (It only activates once during each Standby Phase of the opponent of this card's controller. It does not target.)[2]
- If "Evil Blast" is already equipped to a monster by its effect, it cannot be equipped to a different monster using "Tailor of the Fickle". Only the monster targeted by the effect of "Evil Blast" is a correct target to be equipped with it.[3]
