Card Rulings:Road Synchron
TCG Rulings
- If "Skill Drain" is negating the effect of "Road Synchron," it is treated as a Level 4 Tuner even if you Synchro Summon a monster other than "Road Warrior."[1]
- If "Road Synchron’s" Level is increased by its own effect and "Skill Drain" is activated later in the same turn, "Road Synchron’s" Level will return to 4.[1]
OCG Rulings
- The "When using this card as Synchro Material for the Synchro Summon of a monster other than "Road Warrior", reduce this card's Level by 2." effect is not an Ignition, Trigger, Quick or Continuous Effect. (It does not start a Chain Link.)[2]
- The "If this card attacks, at the end of the Damage Step: Increase its Level by 1 until the end of this turn." effect is a Trigger Effect. (It is a mandatory effect that is activated at the end of the Damage Step. It does not target.)[2]
- If "Skill Drain" is active, then the "When using this card as Synchro Material for the Synchro Summon of a monster other than "Road Warrior", reduce this card's Level by 2." effect of "Road Synchron" will be negated, and it will be used as a Level 4 monster. If "Road Synchron" has its Level increased by 1 by its effect and later "Skill Drain" is activated, then the Level of "Road Synchron" returns to 4.[3]
