Forum:Deck without Graveyard reliance

I haven't been dueling for a while, but I've been dueling my friends a bit more as of late on Dueling Network and YGO Pro. Ever since Dragunity, my favorite deck to use, was virtually crippled by the ban on Dragon Ravine, I've been trying to use my other decks. However, a very recurring problem I'm having is that many of my decks (Laval, Bujin, Gemini, Gishki, etc) are heavily reliant on milling cards, recycling from, and generally activating effects in the Graveyard. This makes decks that use Necrovalley and other such Graveyard-restricting tactics very, very annoying for me. So with my main deck pretty much neutered and a very glaring weakness in my usual tactics, I was hoping for some suggestions on decks that don't rely on the Graveyard for most of their speed/power, or at least have definitive means of dealing with these weaknesses.

I don't particularly care about archetype, attribute, or type. My preferred tactic is swarming and beatdown, but I'm fine with slow-running decks so long as they can take the pressure. Burn, Mill, Lockdown; anything that can operate without having to depend on the Graveyard. I know a lot of decks are based around that nowadays, but there has to be SOMETHING that uses different tactics, right?--Kagimizu-Seeya 'round 23:54, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

Banish decks. What you are looking for is a banish deck. Try making a deck around Macro Cosmos, Dimensional Fissure, and other banishing cards. Jet-Black Nova (talkcontribs) 00:52, January 21, 2014 (UTC)

Any specific archetypes that can specialize in that? I work best when I can narrow it down to an archetype so I can know more easily what synergizes. Besides, "Return from a Different Dimension" is limited now, so it won't work as well. And since I like versatility, are there any other strategies out there? Like focusing on pulling cards from the deck, and other such strategies? I'm just looking for something not screwed over by the Gravekeepers and banishing tactics.--Kagimizu-Seeya 'round 01:22, January 21, 2014 (UTC)

One archetype that came to mind was LV, why not try that? --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 02:53, January 21, 2014 (UTC)

See also: "Madolche". --Missign0 (talkcontribs) 03:28, January 21, 2014 (UTC)

LV I've tried before actually, and I might give it another shot. Madolche... *shudders* Bad memories, man. Those things are VICIOUS. But these are definitely some archetypes I can try. Anything among the newer ones, or maybe somewhat obscure ones?--Kagimizu-Seeya 'round 04:22, January 21, 2014 (UTC)

GBs

When I readed this, I immediately thought: this guy is talking about a "Gladiator Beast" deck. I mean, they pratically live to beatdown, and the universal effect of replacing themselves with another GB from the Deck, is not the clichè kind a swarm. They rely much on the Deck. --XBrain130™X頭脳130」 10:42, January 21, 2014 (UTC)

I've actually used a Gladiator Beast deck before. However, they're kind of slow and and pretty infamous for being very "autopilot". I prefer decks where I can get rolling fast or at least force the deck into my pacing, and also leaves a bit of room for customizing.--Kagimizu-Seeya 'round 08:55, January 23, 2014 (UTC)
